Just because I'm a guy does not mean I've never been put in a compromising situation where I have to choose between something I find personally uncomfortable or speaking out against it in some way or another.

Yeah, there are shitty people you may have to deal with in your everyday life, job, game but in the many cases where you don't have to sit idly by, or just realize that the repercussions are not final, and it isn't the end you should do something about it. I know when I was still in school I was suspended multiple times, asked to leave classes multiple times for opposing things I saw going on that were not right. But I still managed to graduate easily with good grades and some etc. None of it harms me today.

You're right, it doesn't end perfectly, it can be messy but its not like you can't make it out ok or nothing is ever gained. A history of people speaking out when they see something wrong stands behind me. And I am sure there is a hidden history of those who do not speak out exists - in fact one must have been there first for the other. But no one looks at those kind of situations and feels like "Oh well, life sucks, its just suffocating oppression laaammmeee".

Now, maybe living in fear of speaking up for whats right in order to cling on to something less important (especially since we are talking about a game here mind you) is just fine for you. Personally, I feel if working and living in those situations is how you find yourself you can do better, you can move on. Its a game of give and take and in some instances it really may not be worth stirring trouble or simply saying that is wrong, it is wrong to do, even if you find someone annoying, over someone who you find to be an ignoramus. You don't even have to say anything, just leave that situation, for yourself.

I'd take your sentiments, and predicament more seriously if it wasn't about a game, or if you hadn't called Amerie a whore (which makes me believe you read what Ujio posted and were just like "lulz yeah tell that bitch")and we were talking about a project you have been working on for 10 years that defines your career or that your future is riding on. But it just isn't. I could go on to talk about if there was irl how many other ways there are to deal with these type situations, but we just aren't and its a waste of time.

This isn't about an LS and I'm not trying to trash talk, this just bothers me. I don't think its unreasonable why.

PS. My girlfriend works for an NGO that gives funds to women and women's groups in developing countries for emergencies, often with lives at stake. I just find it so out of touch with reality what you are saying when there are people out there, in worse circumstances than you, speaking out against things, who are women. I guess you can just keep on going putting up with things you don't like and make you uncomfortable, that doesn't mean that the world is always like that and we should just give up.

Once again 'stalking' you, just because you are completely wrong quite often.

I work in a mainly female dominated career and I get harassment all the time by a select few horn ball women, or even the menopausal woman who lash out at me cause I'm male. All the bosses are female and relate to them, leaves me to deal with this bullshit everyday. One boss winks at me all the freaking time and I don't know why. I got fed up one day and winked back sarcastically and I got a dirty look.... wonderful huh? Guess I better just grin and bear it too ya since I fear getting fired. Maybe now she will say I'm winking at her and being sexually harassing. It isn't exactly easy being a man either, you are as one sided as usual Lavi. Open your eyes.

As far as your potty talk in /s, you are becoming very bold in your accusations, don't cut yourself with that tongue.

I'm just gonna comment on this one little thing here. I don't know what happened between Ujio and Amerie. I'm told (by Amerie) that he sent her harrassing tells calling her whore etc etc. After seeing his posts I believe her.

As for Lavi and Amerie, I was there. What happened is Khimaira had popped on the 2nd window, and Insurrection doesn't camp that early so they had no idea it had popped. All of a sudden Amerie showed up. lavi said in /say "/sea whore". Unfortunate set of words, and completely unnecessary, but I don't think it had anything to do with the Ujio comments.

Generally speaking, you're in the minority... if what you say is even true. However, most women can attest that most fields are either dominated or at the very least, have primarily male bosses meaning they are going to encounter unfavorable situations far more often than any man would. Statistics will back that up.

At any rate, you have very little to say on the matter. You were hitting on me the day I joined Affinity and I never particularly enjoyed it one bit. You honestly never could take a hint so really, I imagine even if what you say is true, it's probably karma.
 
Women may be found in the situation more often but men I think have a harder time proving it if they are a victim of it. Most people are not going to believe a guy when he tells a supervisor they are being harrased. Hey he is a guy and the person doing the harrasing has boobs, what guy supervisor is going to believe that he didn't initiate the harrasment. Women do tend to have the better deal in a harrassment suit, hell most guys are pigs right *sarcasm off* A supervisor is probably more willing to fully believe a woman over a man making the claim just because thats how things work.

Karma has nothing to do with it to be quite honest. No one should be subjected to deal with that shit on a daily basis regardless of what you perceive from them in a game setting.

Your assumption of my emotional intelligence based solely on the fact that I was male is a vast generalization, which made me uncomfortable!

In said situation I thought it would be best if I voiced my opinion on that matter as well as some other flawed universal facts of life you assume.
