Diablo III

blizzard is crafty. witchdoctor looks crazy i wonder if they will be back the necro

witch doctor has the same skills essentially as Necro :\ don't see why they would

Necromancer's abilities, though, boosted those of your party, also, iirc.... I could be dead wrong, here, though... But having certain mobs out with necro would do certain things. But like I said, I might be confusing this with Druid or something... Ive actually played D1 more recently than D2

But i do agree... Witchdoctor seems like it will replace necro. The summoning and undead wall are almost dead giveaways

the summoning aspect was only one part of necro..easier for people that didnt know much about necros.. i found poison and bone to be a lot more challenging(pvm) and easy too dominate anyone with in pvp(no resistance to bone) :) 1.10 changed everything though..enigma ruined the game in a way
they also more then doubled the choices from d1 to d2x im willing to bet they will have a lot of the same classes plus 3 more including witch doctor

Bone Spirit maxed is so deadly it's awesome. And they are only having 5 classes for D3 :P

where was that said? not that i dont believe you..i find that crazy lol

Can't forget about Hellfire here people. Monk > all.

i c wat u did there

nice, didnt see that. probably more when expantion comes out..in 10 years

The other classes have got to be Paladin, Amazon/Assassin, and Sorc..

Paladins are part of the Zakarum religion, I think, and they're the most popular class, so they will make it in. I believe Kurast is home of the main Zakarum temples, and Kurast is on the world map.

Amazon is a ranged physical damage class, but Assassins are sort of in the storyline in D2 (Natalya being in Act 3), so maybe they'll merge these classes somehow into something else... a rogue from D1 with trap abilities?

They have to have a sorc, just as they do the barbarians. They can't have the witchdoctor as the only magic damage class.

If I had to guess at which classes wouldn't be returning, I'd say druid.

Since they're going to have male and female of each class, Amazon by itself would be out of the question, and maybe even rogue.

Totally forgot about that....but with Rogue they could balance it out with Hunter...and males can be rogues as well no?

Amazon I do see your point as i don't recall about an island of men...

the reason I think they won't add assassin is when i played diablo II with all my friends they said that assassin sucked...

Trap assassins own anything that isn't immune to lightning.

Martial arts assassins are fun, but pretty underpowered except for some kinds of pvp in D2.

Every class has a build that can work, but a lot of them are situational.

This game looks wicked.

TBH, i think it will all depend, they could make totally new classes (as they did with witch doctor), Also, now that D3 is announced, we know D3 will have a expansion a year later is D3 does good (like D2 did, 1 year later to the day D2 LOD came out with Assassin/Druid), which could add more classes... but i think they wanna spice it up and not have the same old classes (well... they did bring barb back >.>) IT CONFUSES ME!

that's because barb was one of the most popular classes, though. Sorc is also one of the most popular classes, so it will come back too.
