i wake up this morning and the power is off. freezer full of milk instead of ice cream. so i drink my breakfast and then get undressed and hop in the shower. feezing water lasts about 5 seconds. ok, the water is off too. (i dont pay the bills here my job does, so now im a little angry.) so im standing here freezing cold. i decide to grab a towel except, i cant find it. this is really strange. i always leave the towel in the same place and i live alone. i do the dog-shake dry off thingy, and find a dry hand towel. i half ass dry off, throw some clothes on, and go to my internet bar.
i get there and im the only person there. in china, 99% of people dont have internet in thier homes so they come to these internet bars. urmuqi, which is the city i am staying in, has a population the size of new york city or so and im the only one here. this place is huge, and im the only one here. now its creepier.
i get online thinking maybe i will get less lag cuz im the only one using this place. im wrong. qcdn.org takes like 25minutes to load. aimexpress works the first time. and mschumacher.com loads nicely with one problem. when i log on to check my mail it does this error and says something in chinese that i cant read. i try again, same thing. now this is fucked up. the only other problem i have encountered here is aimexpress being a pain in the ass, and the computer not loading any web pages. the internet is clearly working but i cant log into my email account. i try again through google or something, because that helps when the page doesnt load sometimes. doesnt work.
now im sitting here talking to a webpage... im prolly gonna go outside and it will start raining, then the place i get eggs every morning will be closed for the first time ever. (tea boiled eggs by the way, they kick ass) what else could go wrong. i hope next time i look in a mirror that im still white with red hair.
