I "explored" Norg for the first time since CoP released and I never remember there being those pirates in the left room down that hallway up the stairs.. didn't it used to be a fairly empty room with like 1 or 2 people in it?

Yes, they are new. I don't know exactly how new, but I can at least say post-CoP, since one of them has some of the armor added with CoP. There are three new NPC's in there, but when I talk to them, they don't really give me any info. Possibly for the quest Drewtaru stated earlier.
Yeah, they are there for the venerer ring quest (which is on crack and all over the place, literally and figuratively :evil: )
yeah that quest takes like 2 hours to complete and all it is is "go here talk to him and check the ???"

yeah that quest is a pain.....
and half of it doesnt even coordinate with the original quest....
at first it has to do with some girl that dissapeared.... then gotta get this guy some clam chowder..... and blah blah blah.......
