Well first of all i want to point out what i going to say has nothing against this forum and other people. I love you all :)

Now from what i was hearing, i heard that quetzalcoatl is one of the most worest servers there is the entire game? But why? Another thing that I also heard that we are rank number one for most gil buying then the rest of the server. I mean i am not asking only answer, but also what do you think about this. I was talking to a very close friend of mine, he tells me that ridell on his server is like having any kind of weapon. But in our server is like OMG!!! I MEAN YOU HAVE A FREAKIN RIDELL!! CURSE YOU!! And what he saidis that, there is one thing that all the servers dont have but we have is this forum. Qcdn. That all other people mind there own business. But here, we are in everybodys stuff. I personally like this forum, to find help, to request static people, and also my personal stuff. But what really miss up our sever is that Flameboard. People talk crap about each other, or ls making fun of other ls.
I mean never knew this and it brought up to my attention. Gil buying, i dont want to discuss it cuz there nothing you can do about it. Just wanted to bring a point. What do you all guys think?

P.S. I have nothing against this forum, just asking what you guys think.
 
All servers have problems with gilbuying. And you can't rank a server, since no one knows how many people buy gil. So whoever said that Quetz is #1 gilbuying server, was either a Quetzalcoatan, or he was bullshitting you.

As for end-game as a whole, yes. We are behind a lot of servers. *BUT*, there are servers that are way worse off then us. On another server (can't remember the name... Alexander I believe), the only people that started doing Sea is the gilsellers. They are the only ones to have killed Love.

Thing is, you can't say its the Quetzalcoatan's fault that Ridill isn't as comon on this server as thers. We've killed about just as many Fafnir's and Niddhog's as the other server have, and the drop rate is the same across all servers. So if anything, it means that our server is just more unlucky. How active and good end-game shells are across servers doesn't matter, since HNM's are on a set timer (most of the time), meaning all servers have killed about the same ammount.

Long answer:

First off, look at FFXIAH. The top server economies = the top gilbuying servers, it's that simple. We're way down on the list.

Ridill is NEVER common, EVER EVER EVER. It is the rarest weapon in the game (besides relic, but that's just because there arn't enough people actually trying for them)

The flameboard, he's mostly right there, it is a severe hamper on inter-linkshell relations on this server, and quite likely the primary reason you don't see more of the co-op stuff. But in truth, the real cause of this is that our server is made up of supreme idiots. Teamwork, willingness to try things, willingness to put aside personal issues and go for the good of the shell, etc, all very poor here. And the stranglehold the big 3 JP had on things until recently didn't help any.

i agree with all your post, but it *can* be common. we got 3 in one week once. (no lie) .. lol but yeah overall it is rare.

titan is probably the worst server.

everything (yes, everything) is dominated by gil sellers

last I checked there hasn't been a legit LS king claim in months

the upside to being on titan: you can buy a ridill from them for 15 million!

Yeah, the flameboard is nothing without the people. Hence, the people are the problem, not the Flameboard. Maybe if so many people weren't egotistical little pricks, more cooperation would come about. This is part of the reason that I'm taking a break for a little bit. To many retards on this game that don't like to do anything without someone else proving it can be done first. That and Splinter Cell:Double Agent is the sickest game ever.
 
Honestly, I could give less than a crap about what goes on in other servers. I couldn't imagine playing on any other server anyway. I recognize too many people here, it would just feel very... alien.

Fairy has got to be one of THE worst servers in the game.. I had a couple of toons on there as well, and it was horrid.. but who knows I havent played FFXI in about 4months x.x; but I just came back to the QCDN boards today and saw that the FB was back and I was somewhat shocked.. I kinda liked the FB but bleh :D that's just my opinion :P
 
what, fafnir pops more often on other servers does he? drop rates on ridill are different on other servers huh? *rolls eyes*
 
Easy to talk about how NA on our server don't have enough ridills when you arent there camping in that shit hole for three hours against 200 other people.

I never said NA. I said our server. Personally i know i don't camp this. So i can see how stressful it get on camping this.

Nonsense!!! There is no stress!!! sitting in a hole in the ground for three hours.. I mean.. I can't even begin to explain the exhileration it gives me to just be able to sit there!!!!

uzor pretty much said it. Also for longest time jp has strong hold on fafnir. It not that we have less ridill then other server it that most people that have are jp so we dont notice it. Also on this sever only small presentage of people actually go after fafnir or any other hnm for that matter.
 
I agree with most of the responses here. There is only 1 way i can think of (besides luck) that other servers can have more HNM drops (ridill isnt the only thing out there guys...) and thats b/c they manage to consistantly kill them faster then we do, forcing the respawn times sooner then we do. Other then that, you cant say quetz is the worst cus non gil sellers get about as many HNM's as the gil sellers do.

I dunno about you, but I find it always fun to count the grains of sand from the East Altepa Zone to Centurio X-I.
 
Gilsellers are much better on other servers then this one, and I don't mean that in a possitive way. On another server, no one have claimed Ulli for close to 5 months other then the gilsellers. They constantly farm Tiamat/Jormungand/Vrtra and sell the drops, they own both Sea and Sky, and claim and kill every HNM pop every day. One group of gilsellers even got Absolute Virtue to 85% before someone else claimed and called for help.

So I'd actually say our server is better off then most other.

the reverse could be said that our server is so poor that they put the retarded gilsellers to cover us we're so bad :P but who cares? eh?
