Dieing play and charge kit

This is the second time this has happened to me. I plug my controller into the wire to charge it and it won't charge anymore. Anyone know why this is happening or is this just more xbox products breaking?

Is the wire frayed at all? Are you plugging it in to an outlet that requires a switch (stupid question, but it might be the easiest), have you tried a new rechargeable battery pack?

Also, are you using the Nyko ones? Those seem to be a piece of shit, so stick with Microsoft brand.

I am using the microsoft brand. When i plug it into one of the usb plugs into it lights up for a second indicating its charging then just fades away. And no the wire isn't frayed.

Yeah I think they may just die over time like the many headsets i have gone through.

odd, i have two play and charge kits and have never had a problem with them, and i have the same headset ive always had, and these things have been through hell and back lol.

Each of my play and charge kits have died within 6-7 months and since i was tired of my mics always dieing, i got the wireless one and i haven't had any problems that it so far.

sounds like youve had some bad luck!
ive never heard of the charge kits dying, ive heard of mics getting damaged or broken but not just plain out dying.
Ive heard of more problems with the wireless sets than anything.
Hopefully your luck will turn up!
