diffrence between energy drain and energy steal?

Just like Raiden Thrust and Thunder Thrust... both explanations in the game are the exact same... but which one do you most likely use? Raiden thrust... why??? because you get it at a later level, lol

Energy Steal is an improved version of Energy Drain, and is also RDM only.

if you want to know, the difference is that Energy Steal drains more MP.

Energy Drain is usable by all jobs
Energy Steal is RDM only.

with 100% TP, Energy Steal drains ~70 MP with a dagger skill of 250 on robber crabs

Nope, I got both Energy Steal and Energy Drain available to me as RNG.
When I tested em out they both drained about the same amount of mp from the mobs (robber crabs).
Just that one of em looks cooler....

Read somewhere that Energy Steal works off MND and Energy Drain off INT. Dunno if there's any validity to that, the numbers you get vary a bit much to make it easy to test.

Both steal MP from mobs that have MP, but the second one has a stronger effect. I used to farm as thf/blm in Beadeaux so I could have warp/drain/aspir, so MP was actually an issue sometimes as thf.

I do this too. I'm not sure which one has a greater effect. Energy Steal is obtainable by all jobs and Energy Drain just by select jobs.
