Dinging 75 and not being there to see it : )

Decided that once i got SAM to 74 I'd use campaign to get to 75. I figured it would help me avoid the pain of forming/seeking a pt at 74 and it would give me plenty experience points that could help me rank up in campaign. Well I was 800 tnl and started a campaign battle in Bastok (S) Things go how they normally go and it reached a point where we were fighting mainly those Shadow element type things. Only a small number were focused on one of them (Including myself) There was a nin who was making a point of keeping hate, so the elemental wasn't turning at any point. I decided to just keep engaged for a while and go to the toilet. On my return I got sidetracked for 3-4 min by something in RL. By time I got back the battle had ended and I just got 75. No celebration, no joy, no great feeling of anything. It did make me smile though, as it reminded me of when I dinged my first ever 75 (BLM) when I was in middle of a 'heated debate' with Khidir in LS (/wave Khidir^^)
 
That's how I turned 75 as well, I soloed about half of my level in campaign and then finished the last 2k in N.Gusta(i think), I didn't need that little ding to tell me that I earned my place with the rest of the server

it's a different feeling I guess, but nevertheless a good one at least it was to me considering I did and accomplished everything on rdm.

congrats zeo, maybe you'll solo a job to 75 and it'll feel bigger!
 
Hurry up and get those merits finished on your SAM so that we can xp already! Hop to it!!! Double time! =)
 
Congrats on 75 Zeo, thats one thing missing from Beseiged and Campaign, no level up or merit point gained animation. I guess if a lot of people were leveling/meriting up it would make the conclusion of the battle rather busy, but fun too maybe. :)

Was the same for me on Paladin, except. I didn't realise I had leveled... not til a campaign or 2 afterwards >.>
 
To be honest, I wasn't too bothered, due to the fact there isn't actually a ding animation/sound when you level. Just thought it was smile worthy.

Now to get the merits

well if it any consolation there is no shinny congratulations when you lvl up in campaign.

Correct.

Although I appreciate the congrats. The OP wasn't done to show that I got a 75. Hasn't everyone got multiple 75's nowadays? Whenever someone tells me how many 75's they have (In an effort to back up some argument) That's what I always say - "Hasn't everyone?"

If someone says they have multi, full merited jobs, then I doff my hat more readily.
