I had actually forgotten about this game untill today, when I accidentally stumbled uppon it again

The release date is apparently set for Tuesday o.O; Anyone planning on buying it?
 
this one japanese guy i talked to said it was really cool, and the cut scenes were amazing, said something like u can play as other people i think not just vincent.

i dont know if i put a pre-order on this game or FFXII i forgot >.< ill see the reviews and gameplay videos, probably rent it first then ill decide
 
I heard it sucks as a shooting game, but its a FFVII thingy, so I gotta get it

I cheated and watched some of the FMV's up on Youtube; everyone from FF7 is in it (including Reeve sans his Cait Sith suit!), so I wouldnt be shocked if others were playable.

All I gotta say though, is Cid is the shit.

Well....hes more like a Warrior who uses a lance...He didn't really have any other drg characteristics..Didn't even have jump(I don't think)

From what I've heard the Japanese version was teh suck. Then again they're not as keen on shooters as we are here. They've made changes to the game though (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirge_of_Cerberus:_Final_Fantasy_VII Scroll down to localization for the changes) trying to make the single player more appealing.

Am I going to buy it? Yes, just cuz its Final Fantasy. ^^

On an off note, I think this was the game they tried to use with Playonline for the multiplayer stuff.

Thats pushing it ;x How often do drgs get jump as a Overdrive/Limit Break? Its usually a normal ability!!

If I had money I'd buy it, but as it stands now I'm saving for FFXII, a DS and FFIII, V/VI advance in the future, CoM and Rogue Galaxy.
Maybe I'll rent it, I've heard they did a lot with the NA version to make it more appealing, and I've been reading previews of it and sounds pretty fun, too bad Cait Sith isn't the main character though as opposed to Vincent, I'm kidding, although Cait sith is my fav FFVII character lol, next to Yuffie :o

welllll id have to say DRG, 3 of his limit breaks involve "jump" 2 of which actualy have the names. Boost Jump, Hyper Jump, and Dragon Dive. Dragon dive is repeated jumps, not sure how many >_> and he uses a spear!!!
 
well i gotta say BIG DISAPPOINTMENT in this game.
Go fuckin figure. Square tryin to make a fast buck for the fanboys of a not so amazing in the first place title.
The camera angles....dont get me started. The shooting was awkward, the story really didnt indulge me in anything.
And could we have a few different enemies to kill >.<

I actually kinda liked it.

The cut-scenes are way too long (beautiful, but long), and yeah the controls took some getting used to, but I thought it was fun. The camera can be moved with the right stick, so i really didn't have a problem with it. I'm only at chapter 6, and so far the worst part was playing as Cait Sith, because I hate him so very much.

Also, that scientist chick with one eye creeps me the fuck out. Bitch needs to get herself an eyepatch.

I think the weapon cusomizing is really cool, and I think the designs of the Tsviets (spelling?) are awesome.
 
They say the first half of the game is the slowest and most boring part. But once you get past the Highwind 2 storyline, things really speed up.

well, there weren't really ANY job classes in FFVII :P at best.. Aeris a White Mage XD and that's it really. Hehe

anyways, I am not sure if I wanna get it or not.. but I'm tempted.. I wanna play more than 5 minutes of it though XD I played it at the Anime Expo but ya.. barely

I would put Tifa at Monk, and maybe Cloud at Warrior? And I guess Barret would be the Ranger. I dunno though, these are kinda stretching.
 
Played the import and it sucked, assuming the us version will as well. But then again, FFVII fans would buy a pile of cowshit if someone carved the name Sephiroth or something into it so it'll sell just fine here.
 
picking it up today when I go into work :) special trade in deal + employee discount ftw! I heard the game itself isn't so hot but ff7 = must buy :\
