Ok, im using Cox High Speed Internet (Cable) and lately I have been getting disconnected from FFXI more than usual. Before I only got disconnected once every 3 weeks or so. Now im getting disconnected up to 12 times a day!

Some bad times to: Promyvion-Dem ENM, Partying against IT mobs, helping low level friends in high level areas, etc.

My regular internet applications like Explorer, Starcraft, and other online apps are working just fine.

Is anyone else getting disconnected randomly more than usual?

Are you getting a erro and i got a book with how to fix every error code next to me

So you only getting dc'ed from the FFXI only? other game that require internet connection works fine?

If it only FFXI, then PoL network is having some problem but if dc'ed from other games, then maybe there is something wrong with your ISP they could be fixing something

Sometime my Verzion DSL does that

Iv never had a problem with this connection before. Its always been smooth and hardly any lag, even in Lower Jeuno. (Of course, this could be due to the mass migration of players to Aht Urghan). It has just recently started acting up.

if you can go directly to your router

ex: http://192.168.X.X <--X= any number, if they have an option to let your disable your internet connection try to close it down, and reconnect it

i did that to mine, if there is a problem with my connection

i disable it, and reconnect it, that will reset your IP address, and possibly your disconnecting issue

EDIT:

Then is just FFXI networking problem then, isn't your connection then

SE always does that to us, some of us will get Dc'ed and some are unaffected

you don't need a CD to access your router, all you need is internet explore or something you go on the internet with lol

but for new equipment, then i don't know, doubt any company will need CD to access your router.

Unless you talking about a software in a CD that you need to install it, run that program and the program will directly link to your router and can config any option you wish

NetGear is Wireless stuff, idk about Wireless router. i only tell you what i expienanced on (like my own DSL router :P)

i am on wireless 24/7 so kind of got use to them only thing thats on ethernet is xbox (whats needs serving)

Okay, maybe I won't ban this guy.

Maybe I'll fly to his house and beat him to death with a dictionary.

WEBSTER'S, BEE-ATCH!

But, since airfare costs money and bannings are free, I continue.

There you go Blazn, a quote from [GM]Dave that applies to you.
