Nippon Ichi has rereleased Disgaea for PS2 for 29.99 if anyone wanted to get their hands on it and not pay the Ebay prices for it, or importing the PSP version, but it's only at their Online Store, anyways here's the link if you wish to get your hands on this previously rare title, which I'm sure will not be available for long at this price. Just search for Disgaea.

I should probably grab this to replace my MISSING original.

lol, I had to do that with Shadow Hearts 2. Except replace 'missing' with 'shattered'

DID SOMEONE SAY DISGAEA (pants get tighter)?!? Yeah, anyone with even the slightest interest in SRPG's or enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics should buy this NOW. Hell, it's even 29.99, you can't go wrong with that. I'm really hoping Nippon Ichi makes it for the PSP here in the U.S., god, a portable version would just consume me.

Anyway, I suggest this game over the original, even though both were amazing, the first I think had a more humorous storyline, and the cast just felt better.

Only thing I can say is expect to invest TONS of hours for the hidden bosses. I could guess somewhere around 100-120 hours of gametime, maybe less if you know what to do. My file has somewhere over 400 hours, but that's because I just keep playing on occasion..

Awesome, now my father will be proud to see that game on my shelf again. Poor guy spent like an entire Christmas season a few years ago looking for this game for me and now its always out on loan to other people.

They might cry when I ask for it back though. v.v

$29.99 is an excellent deal. Prices were high on Ebay and the rare time someone traded in a copy at Gamestop/EB it went on the shelf for $70.00, I think.

Yeah, you really can't stress that enough. Once this game eats your life, you're not getting it back (kinda like FFXI). I think my final save had around 400 hours as well, lol. Only reason I stopped playing was to move on to Phantom Brave.

went for $50 but the re-release is now available at EB for the 29.99 price. At least at my local EB in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

The PSP version of Disgaea is coming to the U.S. in August, according to Joystiq. Pupusa, you may want to take your pants off now.

"In their preview for the upcoming PSP version of Disgaea, IGN has let slip the release date. Tactics fans (like me) can look forward to the game hitting stores in August. While it was believed that the title was just a port of the PS2 Disgaea 1, it is in fact very different. Disgaea PSP has additional story elements, acting as a sort of prequel with more Etna bits. There will also be new gameplay elements, so even die-hard Disgaea fans will be kept on their toes. The lord of the underworld and tactics games can't come out soon enough."

Is it official, ie NIS America confirming it?
I'd kill for it to be ported though, if so it's yet another reason to be glad for my PSP.

Lol, AWESOME!! If that's so true than my list of games for PSP I'm looking forward to is this

And games I'm still considering are this :P
