Disgusting new design in clothes.

Definetly gonna say its far to gaudy for my tastes.

Well, there's also the futuristic look. All Galkas dressed up like robots, while tarutarus run around like little goblins with huge axes hitting everyone's knees, while Humes have camouflage, Mithras run around on all four hiding in the grass naked avoiding detection while Elvaans run around sticking their heads in the sand...

I'll take beautifull clothes over a WW2 environment any day. I'd hate for this game to turn in to a CS-wanabee (as in, clothes and environment) or any other first-person shooter for that matter
 
Why do the elvaan have to stick their heads in the ground? lol Can't we like ... hang from trees like our arms were meant for?

Hate to say it, but you dont have to play, you dont have to pay them. You want stripped down western looks, go play WoW
 
I prefer the Japanese style clothes and the fictional modern looking outfits like in other FFs.

I like the new clothes and new equipment.

Associating it to the Taliban is just completely asinine and shows how shallow you are and/or how little you know about the world around you. Dig up a history book and look up how people the the middle-east (persia, india) people dressed back in the day.

Just because its a turban it doesn't mean its a terrorist. Grow up.
 
I still think I need to see the new clothes in action. I might not especially care for them but I like how they are pulling together a lot of different cultures I'm not used to seeing in my every day online life. (little less irl x.x!) Pull away from old armor and typical robed fantasy and welcoming new sights!
I can't wait :3!
 
The only problem I have is this... each expansion adds better and better stuff. Not always the "best" but certainly stuff that people are going to want to get.

Eastern stuff might look good on some jobs (BLU, NIN, etc...) but others are meant to have a different "look" to them, like PLD for instance. It's going to look damn weird to show up in plate armor, straight sword and a turban, lol.

I just wish that they expounded upon sets that already existed, like maybe a new badass chainmail set for DRK, or a more Robin Hood-ish getup for RNG. I personally would like to see a THF getup that looked like something Garrett might wear:
