From what I've tried, though, Dissidia on AHP totally blows. It's slowed-down as fuck.

Just tried the new English AdHoc party the other day, and once I figured out how to actually set up rooms it was a decent experience.
I battled primarily two different people. Both sets of battles had decent amounts of lag, but nothing too earth shattering. ExDeath was fairly unplayable because I couldn't time his OmniGuard at all with the lag.
All in all it was just nice to have human opponents.
Also discovered yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner that my cousin is an avid Dissida'er, so after dinner we played for quite a while.
Oh, another nice spot about AdHoc is that I got plenty of ghost cards to battle in the offline mode, so I assume whoever's on AdHoc party while you are can transfer their card over. I got about 9 cards while I only battled two different people.
