Dissidia: Final Fantasy

Also, while we're on bosses with little facetime, how about Zemus and Kain as the pair from FFIV?
Even though they'd probably use Cecil anyway. But one can hope!
 
If they used Rubicante, then they'd have to pair him off with Edge.
I dunno about Edge, man... I just ain't feeling it.

Well, the problem with FF4 is you either have a villian who isn't really a villian, or a villian who pops up in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Going with Rubicant(or any of the other fiends) atleast means going with a true villian thats persistant through the game.
 
The same could be said of Cloud of Darkness, though, except the last five minutes are extended to an hour or so thanks to a bullshit dungeon.
Unless I missed some reference to her while the other two sages were screaming "XANDE XANDE XANDE"

Ok so that'd be lame. Edge and Rubicante would be cool though, or Cecil and Golbez, since Kuja and Jecht are similar to how Golbez functioned, Kuja is Zidane's "brother" and Jecht Tidus's father, and all four are in Dissidia, and neither are technically the final boss(Zeromous FFIV, Necron FFIX, and Yu Yevon FFX)

I wouldn't say that. Kuja's turnaround happened at a bullshit-I'm-not-accepting-your-ending point in the game, and Jecht doesn't really have a say in the matter of whether or not he wants to be good.
At the very least, Golbez wised up and went to strike back at Zemus at a point that wasn't the end of the game.
 
I meant functioned as in related to the protagonist, not how close it was to the end in which it happened, and neither of those antagonists are the final boss (though Braska's Final Aeon was difficult compared to Yu Yevon, but still easy)

They need to get around to revealing the rest of the cast though, it's obvious Cloud will be the FFVII protagonist, FFV I'm thinking Galuf/Ex-Death, FFVI I'm thinking Terra/Kefka, and FFIV either Edge/Rubicante or Cecil/Golbez.

I'm at work at the moment so I unfortunately can't link to IGN.com (Which is blocked at work =/ ), I read earlier about a hands on impression of Dissidia. They mentioned Kefka and the Onion Knight, and several game mechanics.
With Kefka confirmed and Agito XIII and the third Parasite Eve coming to PSP, it looks like I'm gonna finally buy one. D:

Golbez and Ex-Death were also shown at the end of the trailer at the DK Sigma 3713 Party, so now they just need to unveil the IV, V, VI and VII protagonists.

Hmmm, It'll probably be Bartz for V, Cecil for IV, and maybe Terra for VI.
Ofcourse they HAVE to add in Kefka.

It amuses me that they're saving showing Cloud till later, as though it'll be a surprise that he's in it.

Though it'd be an even bigger surprise if, say... Barret jumped out. Or Cait Sith.

But yeah, Cecil, Bartz, Terra...
I hope for a female lead from V, honestly. Faris or something.
I like that they used the Cloud of Darkness and Ultimecia, but it needs moar females.

I guarantee you they'll probably add in the majority of the FF characters but those guys are just Secret characters.

I doubt Tactics will be included, just like twelve being excluded. No love for Ivalice, I guess? It would certainly be cool to see Ramza, Delita... Balthier.

I just hope they include secret characters like Gilgamesh. He does travel dimensions, after all.

Fuck yeah at Otherworld being used. Does this mean they'll be using the various game's soundtracks rather than creating a new one? God I hope so.
 
Guess this verifies that I absolutely need a PSP. Hopefully they have some sort of Dissidia PSP bundle for the holiday season. :3
