PSP Dissidia II: Final Fantasy

Music selection from XI is pretty lame. Promathia theme remix is pretty neat, and I've always liked Iron Colossus, but Battle in the Dungeon#2 is just... ugh.
Shadowlord/Dyna-Xarc theme is so-so.
They're starting DLC music over on the Japanese PSN today, so hopefully soon enough we'll get some more ace XI songs.

Really do like a lot of the new remixes, though. The only ones that don't really sit well with me are how they completely ruined Blinded by the Light and the dullness of the VI song.

Promathia and Iron Colossus are the only new ones, the others were in the original, all the music in the original returned.
And so far there's a IV pack on PSN of 3 songs (Golbez, Clad in Darkness, Final Battle and Within the Giant), a FFIX one coming (Rose of May, Feel my Blade, Hunter's Chance).

Edit: Actually, Heaven's Tower and Ronfaure are other new FFXI songs, but no idea how to unlock them to buy in the PP Catalog.
"A Realm of Emptiness/Promathia's theme" is the only one that's been re-arranged, the other new ones are how they are heard in XI.

Awakening, Battle in the Dungeon #2, and Federation of Windurst from the original Dissidia and in this are the original version.

An FFI pack and FFXIII pack are being made available, but only to those who get the pack in code/voucher from buying FFI Mobile/Dissidia Duodecim RPG Ultimania respectively, no idea how we'll get them in NA.

FFI songs are Menu, Chaos Shrine, Cornelia Castle, Airship and Battle, and the XIII songs are Dust to Dust, Eidolon Battle, Fighting Fate, Eden Under Siege, and Cocoon de Chocobo.

All versions of the songs are from the original game, not a remix.

I heard Ronufare in battle mode, Labryinth. I was smiling the whole time I heard that song... that's one of my most nostalgic FFXI songs. I'm also thrilled to know they're adding "Hunter's Chance" from IX, I know that will be great!

For the remixes of other songs, I *love* FF3's Battle 1. It's great. FF2's Castle Palamecia is great too.

(You think they'll ever add downloadable *characters* as content? :p I still say FF13 needs more love!)

It's a possibility, but I'd say we're more inclined to get more assist exclusive characters as DLC, possibly ones people have wanted like Vivi.
Though actual playable DLC characters are possible, I know Tetsuya Nomura wanted to put Sazh in the first Dissidia, honestly surprised we didn't see him alongside Lightning.

I can imagine replaying through the original story wouldn't be too fun with level 100 characters. Good thing (?) I accidently deleted my old Dissidia save last month.
Also, while the bonus line is pretty cool, I wish you didn't get negative KP if you went over the bonus line. Sometimes I'm like one level over the line but I still want to level up while in the dungeon.

So is this worth the buy? I'm thinking of getting this but I'm not too sure. Is the Adhoc play fun?

I imported my 100 characters over, but I dig that the bonus line still keeps the 013 storyline challenging.
And it's only -KP for that dungeon, when you finish the boss/touch the Stigma of Chaos you don't get -76 KP or w/e to your total, so you wouldn't technically lose the KP you already have prior to entering, just won't gain any KP.

I'd say it is Myrrh, I haven't adhoced, but for the 9 new characters, new stages, world map system, revamped battles, more music, alts, items, adjustments to characters, the original story unlockable and the scenario 00 and scenario 012, definitely worth $30.

I imported my characters over, to save PP and stuff, but I let them start at level 1. It was more to train myself and make me more skilled, and since my equipment would be trash anyway... I figure it the better route to go. It always seems that first level, level 1 to 2, takes the longest for some reason, lol.

I'm kinda curious, what are the characters people are liking the best? I know for me it is definatley the Emperor and Prishe.

Onion Knight and Vaan are pretty cool.

Also Prishe with a Jecht assist wrecks shit.

Of the newcomers Vaan is my favorite alongside Lightning, though the others are great too.
Of the returning characters, Bartz, Freelancer costume, win.

Alright bought it, who wants to try some adhoc once I learn this shit?

I don't know how to adhoc, but if I did, I sure would like to!

Get it off PSN for free and then start it up. You need a Ps3 though.

Got it working, the Adhoc :) I'll try to be on tomorrow then too! Name is OranGemeo.

My highest level is 62 btw~

Haven't been keeping up with the thread, so not sure if this was posted yet, but

Hah, with my PSP still out I haven't gotten to play Dissidia Duodecim yet, but ya, anyone agree with their comment on the story being "wtf?" XD at least it's not "the worst story SE has ever produced" like 3rd Birthday is (according to Gametrailers).

Honestly, is there even a reason to comment on the story of a fighting game? The whole point of the genre and goal of the gameplay is to just beat up on the other player in the cheesiest/most awesome way. The words literally do not matter.
