I'm going to the concert in Grand Rapids! PLUS! There's an opportunity to MEET UEMATSU! I don't have the money for it or else I totally would! But I'm totally geeked at being able to go and having it in my hometown! WITH UEMATSU! OMG! I can hardly wait the month I have to before they are playing!
 
Looks like more concerts are in planning.

I'll have to keep an eye on that in hopes they'll visit a European country close to mine or play in Japan in August so I can go to a concert myself.

I went & saw "Dear Friends" with Miros, Karihkinz, Jimera, and Iggman. That was a great time. Not only did I meet some really cool FF people, but it was awesome to experience the music live. Have fun Realia.

Closest one for me is in Seattle, which is fortunately like 3 hours away, but unfortunately I can't go. Does he do this every year or is he not going to be coming back for a while?

Awesome! That place is great for this sort of thing. I am jealous.

My wife and I lived there for about 18 years. Then to K-zoo for school, and now DC.

Ah, I see. Sadly I'm still here, mainly for lack of finding a better job elsewhere. That and I'm almost done with school. Can't wait to be done this spring!

At the first fan fest, they had the Star Onion Brigade playing a few pieces. Ronfaure and Bastok sounds great live!

If I had the opportunity to go and they played Zi'Tah and You're Not Alone (FFIX) I would probably shit my pants and cry at the same time.
 
OMG. The concert was amazing. Also, UEMATSU WAS THERE! /dies I really wanted a chance to get to see him up close but all I was able to do was see him from 30ft away and then on stage. Oh well.

The Grand Rapids symphony orchestra did an amazing job; I almost cried when they played Love Grows. After the show my boyfriend and I met up with some friend and the opera singers from Draco and Maria were right next to us. I had to go over and tell them what a wonderful job they did; Susan did an awesome job as well though I think she was a little nervous at first. ^_^;

I was very sad that they ran out of posters though; I wanted another to match my Dear Friends poster. The saddest part was they ran out of posters to the PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. I was pissed and heartbroken all at the same time. T_T

Some things never cease to amaze me but people were wearing jeans and T-shirts to the concert. I know it's Final Fantasy and everything, but it was in a prestigious performing hall for Pete's sake, wear something nice.
