Distinction= Absolution/Vanquished?

So some smart HNM leadr decided it was a good idea to shout:

Renze: Ace's Helm Do you need it? /tell

I decided to go check it out and get the ToD for my friends. Renze was an old leader of Absolution but I heard that the shell transfered servers. (FINALLY) Now theres a new shell under the same leader, I won't even ask if they bot because I bet they have it as a mandatory rule. What I want to know is if Absolution changed their name to Distinction, I've heard rumors of them changing their name but never got the actual name. I really don't want to buy from such a shell that obviously has no place here. So if anyone can help me out that'd be great.

I heard rumors it is but some members aren't there anymore, kinda like they purged some people and started over and build it over? I unno, just rumors.
 
I heard Abso got robbed by some leads or something of the type and jumped ship. Distinction, I believe is made up of the poor saps who got screwed over.
 
Some of the names I saw were new to me and on the AH site many of the Distinction members were past server transfers. Odin Catsith ect.

Mostly just names I don't reconize.
 
Yeah, a fair portion of Abso/Vanq jumped servers, only Renze, a small group of existing members, and some more server transfers are part of Distinction now. Seems most of the tools were the ones that jumped servers to Garuda.
 
So the cheaters got bit in the ass by cheaters. Should have picked better co-players.
 
I love all these rumors lol. No clue where they all start from but they are special. Distinction = a core group from Absolution yes, did we get screwed, no. No one jumped ship and robbed or ripped off anyone, the bank stayed with us and remains in tact. There was some good tension between different social groups within Absolution, so some left and the rest of us reformed under new rules. Two of the same Leaders + another core members is a leader now. No we have not purged with anyone else, no we have not accepted groups of people from other servers, we haven't really opened recruitment yet, we've got a few Quetz natives who were interested, but bar that no major changes in it's membership bar those leaving.

I find it funny that because we re-shell all these rumors appear, if there's something you need to know, we've never had anything to hide, so why not take the easy way and just ask? It's not a mystery, and it's not something we ever tried to hide.

And Kyas, do you really think handing out ToD for KV really matters lol? It's not like it's hard to find ToD's on any major HNM in this game, it's as simple as doing a /search area a couple times a day, you think not having ToD is what holds people back from going out and getting something like an Aces Helm?
 
No, typically what keeps others from obtaining things like Ace's Helms are holding parties of a few douchebags waiting on a bunch of other douchebags and making the rest of the gathered people wait.
 
Being on a server where there's a couple more 'major' linkshells then just Absolution and Kazoku this happens all the time.
And not just with the Toau kings.
Seeing a linkshell sleeping Fafnir, or kiting NQ! Behemoth for over 5 hours to keep them in their respective timezones is not an unfamiliar sight.
And not a GM allowed to act against it, a typical example of the 'rage' system failing.
But, it's not really the holding that bothers me anymore though.
What mostly bothers me is the douchebag behaviour that comes with it.

My advise after the March update:
Steer clear of any HNM activity for a while because as I said in the thread that unfortunately got lost in the crash.
Absolution will be sweethearts compared to a what's coming over.

Have you camped KV at all within the past while? Because from you're comment it doesn't seem so. When you camped it in the past did you camp it with enough people to kill it on pop? I doubt it.

Those so called "douchebags" are the people willing to put in the extra effort in order to get something they want. Until you're willing to stand there from 1-33+ hours you have no right to complain about anything. Anyone who wants the Helm can go camp it, nothings stopping you. Usually both LS's only have a couple people there, and only with a notify LS running, so a lot of the time it won't even be claimed on pop by either of us. If you want it, go fucking camp it instead of sitting back crying about something you honestly don't have a clue about. Or do you not have enough friends/LS members to gather and kill it?

Wow, I think Morwen hit a nerve there XD funny thing about that is, most of us have better things to do with that "1-33+ hours" if it weren't for douchebag botting LS's, said camping wouldnt be as painful. Alas tho, I'm just beating a dead horse. You are entrenched in your ways, as we are in ours. Gotta say I'm really looking forward to how your ilk will fair against the incoming competition.
 
If you have "better things to do" then don't complain? And stop making excuses as to why you don't camp it? Protip: KV generally isn't botted, if you'd pay attention you would have noticed I said we don't really bother with it for the most part, generally only have mules there.

What? The people who left for Garuda did so for reasons mainly because Renze never stuck to the deal. We got sick of the bullshit and restarted and love Garuda well soon to be Garudashmi! Distinction still bots their ass off, TheBluePrint does as well, so do the Midgar shells you will soon see, if that was what you meant by tools. We have a much different reception here then Distinction/Abso/Vanq has on your server we get along much better with the general communities of Garuda and Lakshmi. Don't get me wrong Distinction still has some great people in it like xdark, aragon, candy. We didn't steal shit which seams to be the general idea on this server and is funny as hell, neither did botosi.

Renze is no longer here, he jumped ship today and the shell broke!
 
Well, it's pretty well know amongst the HNM scene now that we're gone. We decided to join some old friends of ours on another server and merge our 2 shells, so we're out of your hair finally! I met some great people here, had some great times an made some good friends. Met a lot of whinny mother fuckers to, and a lot of retards, but for the most part it wasn't too bad. I did enjoy some of the flames, kept me entertained while at work a lot, but if I ever said anything that people took personally, don't, if you know me from vent you'd know most of it's just sarcasm and joking around, I guess it can be difficult portraying that on forums though. I hope you all find the peace you're looking for with us gone, even though I think you'll find that we weren't that bad once the servers merge, but I hope that those who still play can still enjoy the game once the merger is done. I'll still hop on the forums from time to time to get a rile from some people though xD

While I never had personal problems with them and I'm sure they're mostly decent players, competition was competition.

It was fun running these guys off Quetz. They left because we took control of sophisticated bots which could only be used by one linkshell on each server. Two allies and change with Kaces and Arenz? Back to back d.rings!

And the unmentionable Scanworm.dll to pin point exactly where DI/SW spawn!

This should be on Good Times.
