DMC4 Teaser

Yeah I'm kindof hoping that:

A: Completely and totally not true (Or fixable through storyline shit)
B: Has fucked with Virgil and not Dante
C: We're all looking too hard at the picture.

In an interview I saw about it yesterday the developer laughed and didn't comment when asked about it.

That's what he gets for letting the guys who worked on Digital Devil Saga design his devil form for DMC3. He's lucky his other hand didn't turn into a mouth.

This one had better be god damn good. I'm getting tired of being let down from DMC2 and 3. If 4 pisses me off, I swear to god I'll go play that fuckin SquareSoft flop "The Bouncer".

2 I can understand, it was worthless crap but what was so bad about 3? I really liked it.

Maybe this will have to deal with his sword. It did skewer him in DMC1. I just hope we still have the DMC3 Dante, rather than the DMC2 one. Cold and silent Dante is not, thank you very much. I want my trash-talking bad ass.

Y'know what I thought was funny? One of the reviews for DMC3 complained about it "not being the 80's anymore." Funny, because the game was based in the 80's if my understanding of the timeline is correct.

As for his sword... Lesee... DMC 3, he got skewered with his basic sword by Virgil. DMC 1, he got skewered by the electric sword that I forgot the name of. DMC 2, he sucked. DMC 4, maybe something goes freaky with the sword of sparda and this is an aftereffect?

If I remember correctly, you would be correct on the timeline.

On an off note, Did you guys really find DMC3 to be too hard as I've heard some people complain about? I played DMC1 til it died (every mode with all characters beaten) but when I tried to play DMC3 like I played the first game I got owned. After adjusting to the styles system and using it to my advantage though, it made things alot easier for me.

Second off note, Anyone got any interesting ideas for new styles?

I found DMC 3 to be pretty hard myself. One of the reasons I got out of it. 2just couldn't hold my interest very well. I still like the 1st game the best. That one I actually took the time to beat normal, attempt hard, and unlock stuff. Something tells me I'll probably end up liking it better than 4 as well, but we'll see.

More Gunslinger. I really don't think there can be any new styles, unless they start upgrading his Demon. I mean, the basics of Dante are covered: Guns, Sword, Fist, Trickster. I don't really know what else they could put in & have it still balanced.

I couldn't get enough of melee in DMC2, as much as it did suck. The knuckles were funnnnnnnnn! More spinny and twirly moves please.

Gun needs some kind of full on sprinting-while-firing-handgun action, and sword needs some more throwing moves.

I just want something so unbelievably fake, unreal and amazingly arcadey with a good story line... Is that too much to ask?!

(Probably, yes.)

Vampire Hunter D-ante.

I don't see this "Sword arm" you guys are talking about, but due to the way his other hands set up.. maybe it does have a mouth.

I'd say Gunslinger needs a makeover. Maybe I was just doing it wrong, but power was lacking compared to... uh... Nevan with Swordmaster style. Trickster was a completed style, except maybe giving it some aerial attacks of its own (longer hang-time with Ebony & Ivory midair?). That wierd Royal Guard style was really strong in some situations, time it right and wipe out a whole room in seconds, but it doesn't work at all against bosses. Swordmaster was... <3.

So you mean you want a sequel to Devil May Cry 3? :D
