Dnc Sucks

I didnt read everything here, but I have played with some really crappy DNCers. No idea what they're like at high levels, but eh.. I have played with a handful who held their weight in the party slot. Two types of DNCs I don't like... the one that cannot seem to gain any TP and the one that sits at high TP and doesnt do anything with it. Just takes a certain one to make me say 'I'm so glad we had a dnc in the party.'

As far as events and such, you're just going to have to get used to that. Ask countless of people who had to level certain jobs just to get through CoP. Jobs they might have not otherwise leveled unless they had to get through a mission. There is just no escaping the fact that certain missions are done better with (insert job). Or at least was the case two years ago and I am sure cookie cutter mind-sets still remain.

Certain jobs will always be in a higher demand than others.. Sad to say it, but DNC is just a very sittuational job and maybe you should just level with some friends who might not care when you're in a level range where you're lacking and appreciates you when you're in a level range where you are shining And if all else fails, there's always campaign. ^^.

Dancers lvl 65+ in campaign can get a TON of exp ...no joke.

Pfft so can a Whm subing nin and hexa striking all over the place. :)

Sure if you don't mind the "Cure please, Raise please <pos>, Cure please <hp> , Can you raise my friend? I'M DYING PLZ CURE MEEZ, I needs a buffers can you helps?"x999 tells lol then I guess you can have the time to do all that XD. Although, less people are doing campaign so you hardly see any of that anymore.

But damn.... lol I really didn't like babysitting someone when I was curing my own party members...

OH Jeska, I'm the 75 whm "slave" lol let's leave it at that. You remember.. XD

Menu > Config > Filters > Tells > On. Problem Solved :)

Heh I'm cursed in that job, dont matter how many other jobs I level, people often want me to be Whm.. Not because I'm any good at the job more because no other bugger wants to do it. :)

I haven't really done any partying w/ Dancers in the higher levels, but I will admit it is an amazing sub for soloing. Its a fun job to play after you get Curing Waltz. I couldn't see myself taking it to 75 though. But from what I could tell w/ my short experience w/ the job from leveling it from 1 to 37 is that it is a nice support job. That can easily be a back up healer and has some nice enfeebling moves as well.

I leveled DNC to 40 to use it as a sub for my PLD and i must say it is an AWESOME job. Here are some of the reasons:

1. DNC can tank with the right gear, alternate from an acc to eva set and you will be just fine IMO.
2. Altho DNC wasnt made to be a main healer, it can if paired with the right job.
3. DNC can DD fairly well if he/she takes advantage of the right abilities. I must say I once pted with a DNC who was pulling in numbers very close, and sometimes better, than our thf was >.>
4. Like Urat said, dont knock it till you've tried it (and that means taking it PAST 37)

Personally, ive been saved numerous times by DNCs in my pt because those curing waltzes are pretty much instant cast vs a cure IV or V that takes a little bit to cast.

DNC's, I /SALUTE YOU HEH HEH

My belief is that there isn't any bad jobs in this game. Its the players behind the character who brings out the potential of the job. Every job has its place in this game and the main thing is knowing that place. A great player can make any job look great. While a terrible player will do the opposite.

Couldnt have said it better myself =D

Well in the dynamis shell I run with, they always have a dnc in the 2nd ally DD party. mind you 2nd ally is the "PARTY!!!!" alliance. But the people there love a dnc, and a mage as they don't die very fast, and oh the haste. When they are really lucky and a spare bard is there....need I say more. A GOOD dnc has roles even in endgame.

I subbed dnc in a low lv party in the dunes. We even had a lv gap of 13-16, but the exp was coming fast due to lower down time. So dnc as a sub in exp parties is also awesome IF used correct.
