I will post the announcement I had the misfortune to need to make on the forums of TheNightblades, a linkshell I co-lead.
I very much regret to inform you all of this, but it must be said. You all deserve to know.

Tonight, you have been betrayed most terribly. I will tell the story as objectively as I can, even with how upset I am about it. The situation follows.

When Ellion took his break from the game, he entrusted a little over a third of the Nightblades gil (and a Haubergeon he sold his Sniper Rings for) to Nakanami. This gil, as you all know, was a gift from Atycia to be used to benefit the entire linkshell.

Nakanami had neglected to give the gil back to Ellion after Ell made his return, repeatedly brushing off the requests for a week or more.

Tonight, I confronted Nakanami to have all of your gil returned to its rightful owners: all of you. That is what Atycia intended; the gil was for all of you Nightblades to benefit from.

After an hour of needless negotiation with Nakanami to return the gil, he finally said he would give it to Arora, because he trusted her. (Why he didn't trust me is neither here nor there, at this point.) He said he would meet her and give it to her tonight, saying, and I quote "I'm coming to give it to her right now".

Arora and I waited in Windurst Walls for him.

Then, I got a tell.

Nakanami dropped the Haubergeon and gave away all of your gil.
(Or, alternately, kept the gil and said he gave it away to a stranger. I cannot be certain.)

Ellion no longer has a Haubergeon.
We all no longer have 681,300 G.

Ellion still has the rest of Atycia's gift; it is not a complete loss.

But it is a large one. I am very distraught right now; I worked so hard to try and get him to give it back to you all, and all for nothing.

Do not trust Nakanami. It is not wise.
 
This bites, and reminds me that there is a certain someone out there who essentially owes QCDN users a 75k lottery pool ... /nod
 
Oh Sculli, I just wait for you to get that dig in over and over, It makes me chuckle. :D
 
Ouch, Hard to believe there are people out there stupid enough to dig themselves a hole on this game and betray they fellow shell mates like that.
 
Money is the root of all evil, even the nicest of people can go sour from money..its sad really...

And if I find this person on game, I will do what I can, to maybe at least help get that money back...
 
Ah, I was speaking with one of your LS members about this, Nya, and he wouldn't give me the name no matter how hard I pressed him. :) Name started with an L and was like 5 letters I think.

Now I know who to not trust.

Yea.. he's the reason I tossed my NB pearl and quit talking to you all. From what happened back then, I'm almost 100% sure he didn't just "give it away." If anything, he gave it to Kitsomi as he always defends her even on the stupidest issues, no matter how stupid she may be acting, he's right there play StupidGirlfriendSupporter. No offense, but that's why I left without word. I hate drama and that's all those two are about. Stupid. Melodramatic. Bullcrap. Obsession.

Sorry.. just had to get it out of my system once and for all.

Huh? You aren't talking about me right, I always paid up the lottery, or is it someone who's been absent for awhile?

Nah you're good Pup, Java/Mithy borrowed some 75k form moi when I was still playing, and somehow he may have lost sight of it, or may think that since I do not play anymore there is no reason for payback. /shurg

I think he was hit by one of the nasty hurricanes, will see what he says when he is back online.
 
I've been hearing about the drama from members of the NightBlades first hand while this was all going on. .
And I stopped by their forums just this morning to read that thread with my own eyes.
I never really knew Nakanami, but I never thought he'd do anything like this. He let his emotions ( IRL emotions, mind you ) get the best of him, and he brought that drama down upon his LinkShell.
I know it's not an issue concerning gil.
I know it's an issue concerning trust.

And I'm truly sorry that you guys have to go through all this.
 
Aidyn: You didn't see the post that got deleted in which he absolutely exploded and said the entire reason he did that was to get at Sheirineri by getting me upset. Whether or not that's true is beyond me, since I've heard about eighteen or more different stories as to his motivation.

Oh, and the dropping the haubergeon and gil was yet another lie, too, coincidentally. Ellion has it back now.

Doesn't mean you should trust Nakanami anyway, though.

But I'm done with that whole thing. I come out of this pitying Naka for being such an utter drama queen, a pathological liar, and an utrustworthy fool.

Maybe someday he'll grow a little maturity.

But oh well. Someone needed to do it, and I'm thick-skinned enough to take it, I suppose :p

Hehe, that was me, at the time it was one of those things we were still dealing with and werent really at liberty to talk about with people outside the LS. But yes, that was me who told you about the incident but not who was involved. And an update for those of you who care; Myself, Brin, and Hayotox are the new LS leaders, as quite a few people dropped from the LS after this incident. We are however still going strong, and get new member requests quite frequently, in fact we may have to freeze up member invites for a while so everyone can get aquainted ^_^. So no worries here, the Nightblades shall survive!
