Do Tonberries exist in FFXII and WTF is up with Magic Pot

had my first encounter with a magic pot today, and just as I remember from previous FF's I couldn't do a damn thing to it. I forgot how to beat them from previous FF's, somehow I'm thinking phoenix down to the face but I may be wrong. He also toss' out 9k+ Flares on low magic resist characters and hit for a shit load every melee turn. Anyone fought and killed it yet? A strategy would be cool.

Also, are there any tonberries in this game? Just ain't FF without the midget ass kickers
 
i really can't remember how to kill pots there was almost a whole page deticated to killing them in FF10, i think it was somthing about throwing potions and casting the opposite elements of which it casts, and maybe reflect, i'll look it up later

Magic Pots = use Elixers on em, in past FFs anyways, I have yet to find one in FFXII. Try tossing an elixer at him.
 
Yea, elixirs to magic pots in past FFs, and I think in this, try stealing it back too

And tonberries do exist... sorta... they're kinda hairy. On the Mt. Omisace, at the temple, the acolytes, deff. look like our loveable little green tonberries, minus the throat stab.

Elixers is correct! they actually say it "Magic pot clamors for an elixer". Once you give it to them they go crazy and start hopping around everywhere, you can steal the elixer back as someone pointed out. They die pretty fast and they give 123 license points when defeated

Where are these, Magical Pots?
 
they are in Pharos at Ridorana, subterrain levels. Like a lot of ff, he is invincible. If you give him an elixir you can then kill him. Don't forget to steal his elixir back. Reward: 150 LP.

Btw i didn't know ffX's pots could be beaten.

Movers, whom are also in the final dungeon in FFV and give a whopping amount of ABP and moneys
 
wait.. so there are no Tonberries? Were there any in FFT? I don't remember.. hmm
 
i don't remeber any tomberries. I think its like antelions and classic summons, they are present in different forms. Summons are warship names and i think tomberries are those mini vessel names?
 
I dont remember any tonberries in FFT

And the first "boss" of the game had a guy codenamed Tonberry along with Antlion
