does MPK still work?

Since the update has anybody (even gilsellers) attempted to mpk? I would imagen the gil sellers have no idea on what the update was bout and try to mpk anyway ^^; Just wondering and thought it be funny to see any screen shots of a gilseller pulling a train of skulls, dying and all the skulls despawn to their orginal postions.
 
I tried to MPK at morlbolger yesterday. I was on blm, took a stroper over by Kriist (he was in my party, bound mobs are still supposed to attack alliance members) and bound it. Apparently I missed a touch, it didn't attack him. Vang was right by Kriist, I think he thought I was trying to MPK him.

ps - Kriist was on 75 nin, and I tried to MPK him with a lvl 40's mob.
 
Actually, I've been thinking a lot about this. There's a lot of stuff I'd love to get by defeating the NM for it, but haven't because the gilsellers have kinda staked these places out. If they can't mpk and that's no longer the case, shouldn't we be trying for these items now? What's to stop us other than habit?

My understanding is that AOE MPK still works.
 
AOEs that effect everyone in the general area (Goblins dropping bombs, Bombs Self-Destructing, Black Cloud, Blood Sabre, Earth Pounder) still effect other parties. That being said, MPK at Serket/Cassie/Vivian/Dragons(and a few other areas) is still a possibility, unfortunately.
 
I MPKed Jazper the other day. Kind of.
I found a way to do it, but it involves being in party with that person...No way you can claim it as a mistake.

I think we should MPK the gs...Just fight these AOE MOBs near them right when they are fighting Serket. I mean, ae we not allowed to do that?

<3 Hellmines. It's not my fault my pet tried hiding under Serket for protection!
 
We were in Kuftal tunnel by the Phantom Worm spawn location killing raptors when gilsellers came and started to just camp out the worm NM. In between they would fish with sneak on. This popped sound aggroing mobs around them. The mobs popped unclaimed seeing in how they were sneaked but luckily for our camp the crabs never strayed too far from the fishers. They were only VT an T+ fights but there were several walking around at once. This might work as MPK? Dunno...

The mobs fished up will only aggro the person who fishes them up and not others surounding them.
 
Last week I had a group farming lanterns in the Tonberry Temple for ZM4 and someone dropped Bonze Marberry on us. You can still be MPK'd ; ;
 
A skillup group I joined got halfass MPK'd by Aquarius yesterday. Someone zoned it, we zoned in, Kyrial walked around the corner and was promptly smushed.

They're attempting to fish up Devil Mantas for Angel Skins.

Exactly... Aquarius is one of the few MPK opportunities left, since it's one of the only high-level NMs that isn't terribly camped.
