Does Redmage Need more Int or Mind?

I was just wondering if redmage needs more int or mind cause im getting mixed responses!

Both. Need mnd for whm enfeebles: paralyze, slow, dia. Need int for blm enfeebles: bio, gravity, blind, bind. Use /equip macros to switch between them as needed. If you can only afford one kind, go for mnd first, those enfeebles are more important.

As a general rule, INT increases the strength of our Black Magic Spells, and MND increases the strength of our WHM spells. Both are about equally important to us, so yep, you need both...

Blowy: MND doesn't increase the effect of Cure, just the chance of enfeebles to work.

For cure, just max out your healing spells

Actually I'm pretty sure, 3 MND points= 1 HP cured over a certain point, or something to that extent.

I dunno, im sitting at 40+24MND right now, and my normal cures dish out 31. 32-34 on Lightsday. Cure II 91, 92-93 on Lightsday, and my Cure III is still somewhere at 185, 186-188 on Lightsday. So I dunno how much impact MND has on Cures, but I do know that without my MND gear I cant land half my WHM enfeebles...I agree with Rones, though I dont play a RDM, its only logical. MND helps WHM, INT helps BLM, RDM is a nice combo of the two with some melee tossed in, so a decent set of both gears would be in your best interest.

In the end this discussion is rendered obsolute(sp?) by your handy dand /equip macro. For a RDM they are your best friend.

Personally, i go heavy on the INT... of course, as RDM, i tend to be the one who's expected to fix situations gone wrong... and Sleep is a big part of that. Of course, my whm enfeebs don't last as long, but they usually last the lengthen of the fight.

For me, the ability to act quickly and not worry at all matters more than recasting a spell or two. Even sub WHM, I still go heavy on the INT

Lightday randomly causes a +10% cure effect. So if it is kicking in, its more than 1-2 extra hp. My cure 3 usually jumps from 208 to 225+ for example.

Its closer to +1 per 2 mnd, but the problem is even then the cures get capped. Such as cure 1 gets stuck at 31 no matter how much you add. However, after you gain a new cure spell +mnd can help you reach that cap faster while your healing skill improves. The only exception to this is cure V which doesn't have a cap that anyone has reached yet, at least not that I've heard of.
I don't often have trouble landing white magic based enfeebles.
Even if you can land the enfeeble reliable it is good to still stack on as much +mnd as possible. Paralyze kicks in more often the stronger your mnd is vs the mob's. Unlike other enfeebles such as dia, paralyze is not a set effect.

What Rones and the others are saying is MND is highley over rated so if you had to pick go with the INT b/c it will be more useful in a PT.

Actually, I think they are saying be prepped with both. I personally am very heavy on my INT as RDM. I have 35+30 at level 32 with food on. I can nuke like a BLM, and my Black Magic enfeebles NEVER get resisted. But keep that MND set on hand for those cases where the mob isn't very happy to be Paralyzed.

Yea... Basicaly what I said earlier, /equip macros are your friend put them in before all your macroed spells and you can not go wrong.

Actually I said just the opposite in my first post. For cures, mnd is over rated. For enfeebles you can never have too much mnd. As I tried to explain in my last post, the more mnd you can stack on, the more effective your paralyze will be. Of course you should get both if possible and swap as needed.

My lvl 18 RDM has +9 to both INT and MND (without food), definately helps with landing debuffs like a lot of others have said here.

*thinks*

okies so you guys are saying that int and mind are both important but as to how i see it my int is more important when helping out ls members or people lower than me! didnt know that mind was such importance!!
