Does SE hate me?

I think so. So I decided to come back today, and start playing again. w00t w00t I know. So I go to update my billing info, and originally I used a Mastercard, and now wish to use a Visa. But the great SE "Gods" decide not to give me the option of switching card types, and simply instead say that I am stupid and didnt switch card types.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately the help line isn't open on weekends either.

That's typical for any customer support, there are so very few that are open on weekends and late nights.... which is pretty much when the average person IS at home.

Login to playonline, login to your account, go to Service & Support, Membership, Please select a category > Payment Method > - Update Payment Method.

Imput your stuff, go to the FFXI Menu, content ID, renew ID. a voilá!

Unfortunately, thats exactly what I ve been trying. I put the stuff in and go to hit update, and it pretty much responds with an "oh you suck at life and your card type is wrong".

I thought the same thing when I read this thread last night but I just had to nevermind it also..

Anyways, yeah SE is douches and can be completely useless bastards when your trying to get something done that isn't even that hard.

Well I called a GM, yes I know GMs are for the game. But I got no help what-so-ever. So still screwed, still trying, and still hoping.

Maybe it's the type of VISA that you are using?

For example, some debit / prepaid cards may not be accepted. I think you've got that part covered though, just wanted to point it out in the 1 in a million chance....

This is totally correct, especially if your using a Visa from another country (like me from brazil). You have to be absolutely certain it's an international CC else it won't go.
