Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh. Can it be...? A Joss Whedon project that ISN'T going to be canceled before seeing the light of day?! I can scarcely believe it, but...

Starring Eliza Dushku, it's going to be science fiction show. The basic premise is about a group of people referred to as "dolls." The Dolls have their personalities wiped clean, so that they may be imprinted with any number of new personas, abilities, etc, for the sake of carrying out missions for an organization calling itself the "Dollhouse." Dushku plays the role of Echo, one such Doll who's beginning to become self-aware. It will premiere on FOX(ugh) in 2009.
Wow...saying I'm excited would be an understatement. After years of looking out for Whedon's projects, only to have them canceled or abanoned one after another. Learning that one will actually come to pass pleases me greatly. It being on FOX though gets me worried, especially remembering what happened to Firefly...but for now I'll just keep my head up. Whedon's one of my favorite directors ever, his shows and movies have always been a treat.
Is it just me, or is 2009 going to kick some serious ass?
