I cancelled my account a week and a half ago. I didn't delete any of my characters as I wasn't sure if I was going to quit all the way or not, but the more I hit the golf course and work on the new business i'm starting the more I see I don't need another source of "fun".
I bought this game for the hard drive in hopes that it would solve the problems with socom 2. It didn't and i slowly began to enjoy this game more and more. Over the past year+ I've met some great people here and we've accomplished some pretty cool stuff.
I've had one foot out of the door for quiet a while now, the only thing that kept me around was my friends in game. but now as we have all been reaching sky, i haven't been able to bring them along with me, or they have a group of friends that have joined an LS together or whatever.
It really takes the fun out of the game when all you can do is /wave to someone as they prepare to kill the god you just killed or vice versa. A lot of the firsts i had in this game were with these people and now the only time we hang out is if we are doing a AF quest or genkai for someone.
Badnfluenz is the LS me and my socom buddies started when I was level 15 or so, though it went through a couple of name changes along the way. I took a group of people through sub job items to advanced jobs to genkais to afs. Had a great time doing it, even though there was only a handful of loyals that stuck through it to the end. I'd like to think that the gear they were is partially due to me. Every time someone brought up money making techniques as an LS we would go over how to make gil and would go out and do it. A bunch of us leveled MNK to 20 to do bcnms for mannequin body parts and had a bunch of fun trying to beat the records.
I'd like to thank Partygirl, Fortresspalm, Mezmerize, Arturus, Ziegler, Xadoc, Callum, Infirno, Babbs, Bnin, ArcaneGarden, Pannda, Audino, Nifal, Verthandi, Raye, Avariel, Starks and all the other selfless people who were always down to do whatever whenever. This is a short list of people of many that I could count on to do something for myself or members of my LS to get things done. Even if they weren't affiliated with my LS I was always ready to drop whatever to help them or whoever they were helping out.
I'd also like to thank SoraNoHi for giving me the opportunity to learn in sky. Even though I was at one point the only RNG, I feel pretty shitty about receiving all the gear without completely earning it. I still feel I owe you guys so much more than I put in. This LS is a sleeper in the world of sky LSs and is virtually unknown, but watch them, they will be tops in no time with the leadership aboard.
In the end I had a great time, even when I was feeling shitty that I was doing AFs and Genkais while friends of mine were reaching endgame, I could still imagine the look on peoples faces when they opened that coffer, or went to the NPC to recieve their AF and that made it worth while.
PS if I decide to come back within the next 3 months nevermind.
