I cannot freaking WAIT for Tim Burton's WILLY WONKA <3

I mean, I looooooooooooooooove the original...but Johnney Depp (/drool) as Wonka - it is bound to be good. And I am thinking that Tim Burton's version of "Oompa Loompa's" is going to be freaky as hell.

Damn I hate waiting for the summer blockbusters. ><

I have a hard time seeing Johnney Depp as Wonka. His best movies have always been when he is playing the Dark Mysterious Manic Depressive (IMHO).
 
Gene Wilder will always be the true Wonka...


But I guess they aren't remaking the film....they are going from the book, which is MUCH darker than the movie was. So I think Johnney Depp will fit right in. <3 Atleast I hope so....Tim Burton doesn't normally let me down ;)
 
Burton+ Depp is always gold. That scissor hands movie was sweet. I personally can't wait. ^^
 
This movie WILL rock ^^

Tim Burtons twisted mind and Johnny Depp's superior acting are bound to be at least wildly entertaining.
Look how well Johnny Depp played Hunter S Thompson, He researches and lives his roles long before he actually plays them before camera.

I simply cant wait to at least see a trailer XD

I absolutely adore Tim Burton and Danny Elfman....you throw Depp in there and I"m just squealing...Not to menton it's Charlie and the freakin chocolate factory!

Sweet lord I love that movie. This is going to be awesome, allthough I am looking foreward to the new claymation that Tim Burton is working on also. 8)

Ive got a fair amount of his old films, and even to this day, he haunts me. He's even more spooky in the afterlife :(
In the original "House on Haunted Hill" he has this way of being so snide to someone right before they get killed, then after hes got a morbid witty comment that just makes me roll ! If not for his passing I think Tim Burton would have featured him in more of his productions

I heard they were making a Willy Wonka roughly a year ago...also heard Willy Wonka was gonna be Marilyn Manson @_o

Oh well...uhm...yay@remakes, but the original always wins?
 
The thing about doing re-makes is you have to take a different tone with a movie. There's no point in re-making a film if you don't change anything in it. Tim Burton is a rather creative guy and awesome little story writter and I have confidence that this isn't really a "re-make" of a film but rather another take on the book. Looks like Burton is even going to show Wonka saving the Oompa-Loompas!! :D
 
Yeah - the original was great...but this one is going to be completely different, as it is based off of the BOOK, not the musical with Gene Wilder. That one is called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - This one is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. ;) I wonder why they ever changed the name in the first place...

I am skeptical about this one.

I mean I love Burton, Elfman (Oingo Boingo anyone?) and Depp but it seems like it might be overkill. It's going to be over-hyped and over-done and end up being ridicolous. It's a great idea for Burton and Depp to do a Wonka movie but that might be what ruins it if anyone knows what I mean. It would be like Tarantino doing a remake of Repo Man.
