(That was supposed to be the beginning of the Beverly Hills Cop theme song.)

Eddie Murphy wants to make a fourth Beverley Hills Cop, and Brett Ratner is on board to direct.

Normally Beverly Hills Cop news would make me happy in the pants, but Eddie Murphy sucks now, and I hate Brett "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" Ratner.

Axel Foley: Tell Victor that Ramon -the fella he met about a week ago?- tell him that Ramon went to the clinic today, and I found out that I have, um, herpes simplex 10, and I think Victor should go check himself out with his physician to make sure everything is fine before things start falling off on the man.

sorry. never was a fan of beverly hills cop, not *entirely* that much of an eddie murphy fan (sure, he's funny, but it's the same shit over and over again), and i think that this cash cow ran its course 15 years ago.

eddie needs to hang this, the nutty profailure, and the doctor do-too-damn-many-movies franchises up, and never make another film like "norbit" ever again.

They should have learned their lesson with Beverly Hills Cop 3.

The only Eddie Murphy movie I can stomach anymore is Coming to America, where they treated the multiple character thing as a cute novelty instead of a gimmick they'll run into the ground.

Beverly Hills Cop was nothing like any of his other crap movies (ie. Norbit, Nutty Professor, Dr DooLittle [it was cute as hell for kids though, my nephew loved it]). I would be interested to see this if they could get everyone together. Some of the shit he did in those movies was just hilarious, especially to his 'partners'.

People are taking away from the fact that Eddie Murphy is still actually a good actor (somewhere... deep.... deep down...). Did anyone see his performance in Dream Girls? Now, that isn't the typical movie you'd find me watching. I'm not a big fan of musicals or chick flicks, but it caught my eye. Granted, the character he played was an over-the-top kind of guy but the serious moments let you see that Eddie still has a few teeth left. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a fourth Beverly Hills Cop, especially if he put that much effort into it.

I still like the first two Beverly Hills Cop movies, but yeah, Coming to America is pretty much his best work.

What about 48 Hours? That wasn't a bad movie at all. I think it gets overlooked because of the horrible (as usual) performance by Nolte.

Ever since I mentioned it I've had the Soul Glo commercial stuck in my head.

"Just let your soooooooooooooul glo, baby!"

I loved the impossibly high singing.

This was always my favorite line:

"Look... me and the McDonald's people got this little misunderstanding. See, they're McDonald's... I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds."

Point conceded to Morwen regarding his performance in "Dreamgirls" -- I absolutely loved the role of Jimmy Earley, and that is one of my favorite movies recently lol

Don't forget Bowfinger, that movie was freaking hilarious.

I'd shell out $8 to see this no doubt.

IMHO BHC beats out Coming to America. CtA was a bit too dry for me, I guess.

Lol at Golden Child though, definitely a classic. Need to find that one on a $10 Wal-Mart cart or something.

His old movies were good but his recent stuff is crap. He needs to stop. I agree with Mire though, old actors keep trying to relive their glory days.
