Someone seems to feel all high and mighty of himself for being "educated" by reading some links. When shown this post, I skimmed over and just saw a bunch of junk, pointless threats, anti-religious bias, and so on.

Study before you speak, m'kay?
*that last link's a doozy.
I first saw that link and didn't care. Both sides for and against Christianity will always have their say, but that doesn't mean either is always right. So, just because someone opposes one little particular thing about a religion, doesn't mean it's right. That's why I didn't care.
But then you said that "last link's a doozy." That snide arrogance pricked up my ear, so I decided to click the link. After reading the first fifth and the bottom part of the page, I decided to not waste my time continuing reading the rest. If you claim yourself to be an educated being and believe that gives you the right to condescend another for not being so, you're wrong, both logically and morally. A lot of that webpage was a bunch of garbage conclusions, most of which were
opinions, because there was no sight of any kind of evidence seen.

That is one of the most obvious opinions I've found near the very beginning. Where I instantly noticed another fallacy of any arguments on this webpage, was when the writer said

The early origin of the book [of Revelation] is attested by its doctrinal incompatibility with the rest of the New Testament. The doctrine of the Trinity is nowhere in sight.
Doctrinal incompability? Whoever said that the New Testament had to be "compatible"? That book was chosen to be in there at the Council of Nicea, and definitely not on some need to be alike the rest of the New Testament. Edit: The Old Testament and New Testament were chosen so based on timeline, the Old Testament being before the birth of the Messiah, and the New Testament being after. And the doctrine of the Trinity? The doctrine of the Trinity was NOT written by anyone before the rise of the Catholic Church. That doctrine was written by the Catholic Church, so it's need to be found in the Bible is fallacious, deceiving. This is pretty much where I decided to stop reading such garbage.
If you want to call yourself "educated", learn to evaluate your sources.
The second link I chose to click on was about the Catholic Church abandoning the Bible.
The hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.
Does this make the entire Bible not true? No. In fact, the existence of the Hittite civilization and the names of the Egyptian pharaohs Osorkon and Shoshenq were found in the Bible way before archeologists ever discovered them, those being some examples. That news article was about some of the faithful failing to understand that there are parts of the Bible that are
not to be taken literally, but figuratively. I will go so far as to say that it was this very Church that has aided the blindness of many believers since that church was established. The biggest piece of evidence to this was that the Catholic Church did not allow anyone not members of the clergy, being the laity, to
NOT have access to the Bible. They went so far as to executing people for this, one important case in history when they didn't want their Bible being translated from Latin to English for European people. The Church was one to use "strategies" to bring people into the faith by scaring them with a literal devil. Yes, read: literal. And at those times, the common people believed easily just like that, and the Church got what they wanted out of the people.
According to god in revelation those who 'addeth or taketh away' from his word are committing the gravest sin of all.
You should actually read the Bible to prove if this statement is correct or not. Where does it say that? I'm very sure you have got that mistaken with one of the last statements in Revelation, it being the closest thing to what you are saying. Revelation 22:19, "And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Take that however you want it, literally or not. It is specifically talking about the singular book of Revelation, not the entire Bible. Oh, and nowhere in there did it say it is the "gravest sin of all".
...I'm disappointed with myself for even taking time out of my life to post too much on a forum like so many people on here do. But I had to.
I'll see you and guttenberg in hell.
