Doppelganger Question

Ok, so in need of something else to do other than the grind, I've decided to go thurrowly explore the Ruins around Windy. In particular, I'm curious about spending some time looking for the Bomb King and the Doppelgangers. I am fairly sure I can take the Bomb King, but am curious about the two Doppelgangers. Could a pair of 30's, one mage, one pld, take either of these?

I'm not asking for any tips or hints or anything.. just if its possible. I don't want a repreat of the whole Buburimboo incident.

Me: What Level is this thing?
LS: Dont worry you can take it.

You may wanna check Allakhazam for the details, but these mobs are around lvl 22-25, and like any NM has pumped up stats.

If you are going with another person like you say, youll be fine.
IMHO as a lvl 30 PLD I think youd be alright alone ^^
 
I got amate that took it as a level 30 BLM, and another that took it as level 30 THF

you should be fine :D
 
not really, its just finding a balloon spawn instead of bomb king/dio/gog :evil: :shock: :x :evil: :shock: :x

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll have something to do at 4am tomorrow when I'm awake and no one else is online.
 
Not worth the trouble.
I did camp all 3 but the file on Allakhazam is incorrect.
One of the 3 spawns every 8 minutes but I believe it is the Baloon that
spawns as a placeholder.

Some guy saw me looking around and I get a /tell
I know his name but am just keeping it out.

he made a few more /tells then stopped; dunno 'cause I
just /blisted him. I really need to stop that. Heh. I blist
for the littlest things now.

Anyway, I am making my rounds (43war/15thf at the time) and
open a chamber. I find our frantic friend dead and Doppleganger Gog
standing over him.

Duffman: LOL

...fights Gog...

Duffman: Cruel Spear <Found it>

...his corpse still there...

I come back with RNG subbed and sit on the stairs in the middle.
Balloon. Balloon. Balloon.
(yep, i killed all the ballons. even trained ALL cardians and killed them
in case they were place holders)

all-in-all, I made around 6k on the Cruel Spear and wasted a lot
of time.

IMO = it's not worth it... you can farm more and be more efficient for
that money/time,,,,,,and not be bored either.
