Curious if anyone knows of any programs that will calculate the damage over time.

And also, do any of these programs calculate the DoT for other players in your party? I want to compare a few subjob choices and see if I can't prove that a few "band wagon" choices in subjob choices really are all that people are making them out to be.

Thanks in advance!

Is the program the "parser" that will allow for the DoT to be calculated?

That seems to be the program everyone uses. I've never tried it myself, but having just looked at it now, I'm interested in the accuracy readings it can give me.

From what I remember from other posts, most people use it to judge how their character performs in comparison to the other DDs in a party. However, there does appear to be a Damage Per Second calculator, which you have to run /echo commands in your chat log to "start" and "stop" for each fight. Also, if it exports both the total number of enemies fought as well as the sum of all damage done by your character, you can calculate the dmg/enemy for two seperate runs and compare them.

I have it! I only use it when soloing cause you have to turn off all your damage filters for others if you wanna parse a PT and as whm, I simply cannot afford the spam or no one would ever get Erase/-na/Haste >.<
