Double cast Ablity?

now before we get off to a bad start, let me just let it be known that I am neither a main blm, nor am I very well versed in the job. I would today like to discuss with the main blms how you would feel about a job ability on a 10min recast that allows for the casting of 2 blm spells, with thier casting time combind, that would instantly release one after the other? Would this be broken in a good way or a bad way? would this be good for a BLM sub and could this ability infact challenge a SCH sub for other mages?

Im eager to see what ya think!

For it to be useful, it would either have to be able to cast the same spell twice, or cast the 2 different spells simultaneously (each Tier 4 has roughly, what, 10 sec casting time?). Either way, I don't think it would be in any way broken.

What I think the OP is talking about it casting Thunder IV and Blizzard IV with a 20 second cast time to land the spells back to back. Think W-Magic from VII, or the Red Mage skill Doublecast from... whatever FF it was featured in.

Black Mage timed-nuking is already exceedingly capable, throwing a 10minute timer onto something like that would be unnecessary. My two cents, anyway. 10 minutes isn't enough to utilize it regularly (at least not for what timed nuking is currently used for) or to make it worthwhile. Even if you coupled, say, Thundaga III with Sleepga2, it wouldn't really have much use in practice.

This ability isn't really needed though, since that's why BLMs do timed nukes no?
