Not sure if this belongs here since this is neither a movie nor a TV show, but the other forums didn't seem to do it justice.

Joss Whedon (Buffy), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), and Felicia Day (The Guild) team up to give you Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 40-minute, 3-part musical comedy produced for the Internet, telling the story of a low-rent supervillain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to. The movie was written by Joss Whedon and his brothers Zack Whedon (a lesser known television writer), Jed Whedon (a composer) and Jed's fiancée, Maruissa Tancharoen (an actress). The writing team penned the musical during the WGA Writer's Strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike.

The first act was recently put up at DrHorrible.com. The next two will be posted on the 17th and the 19th respectively. Be quick! They'll only be available for free until midnight of the 20th! The episodes will be available for pay on iTunes, and I read that there're plans to release them on a DVD with extras.

I still find it weird to see NPH not suited up, but I love him in everything he does. The first song is so adorable. Omg. <33 D:

I watched the two episodes today and I really like it, despite the story is kind of typical. Its well done.

The final act was typical Joss Whedon, but I can't say I didn't love it. Now I'm gonna have to live with listening to the songs ripped from the videos until I can get my hands on a soundtrack and/or dvd.

I was just thinking about this the other day...It has a very much "Sweeney Todd" kind of feel to it, lyric wise.

Finished watching all three parts on Hulu, I like it...then again, I sing along with Little shop of horrors XD
