Surprised no one is talking about this one. Well, may as well talk about it, as this looks awesome.

So, for those who liked the Baldur's Gate games, Bioware are giving us this as the D&D license seems to be all over the place at the moment for them. So we have ourselves a new IP and a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. That is awesome.

This is gonna be one helluva brutal game as Bioware have described it as "being a 'dark heroic fantasy' story that will be told on an epic scale with mature themes."

This will be coming out for PS3, 360 and PC this October. Who else is ecited or interested in this game?

I have found that Bioware is one of the few game companies out there that can be trusted to make good games. That being said lets hope EA doesn't rub off on them too much. I am excited about the game but need more information.

I'm really looking forward to this game after Sacred 2 kinda let me down, but i still have hope.

Was a huge letdown. I bought it on PC last year...damn the game just feels so slow and clunky.

CE has been revealed:

Retailer GameStop has revealed the contents of the upcoming Dragon Age Collector's Edition for both Xbox 360 and PC, and it's absolutely stuffed with content.

Here's what you get:

* Fancy tin case
* Bonus DVD (making of documentary, soundtrack, trailers, wallpaper, concent art video, strategy and tips)
* A cloth map
* 3 pieces of exclusive in-game content: Bergens Honor, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes, and Final Reason
* Additional in-game content -- The Stone Prisoner, an unlockable bonus quest and an unlockable character, Shale
* An unlockable item for Mass Effect 2

Yeah, you read that last one right -- an unlockable item for another BioWare game, which will be useful assuming you plan to also pick Mass Effect 2 up. This Dragon Age/Mass Effect 2 tie-in should look familiar -- a survey we reported on awhile back hinted at something similar.

The package will run you $74.99 for the Xbox 360, or $64.99 for PC. We know you guys can't resist a cloth map, but what do you think of the other extras?

Wow. An unlockable item for Mass Effect 2, in the CE of Dragon Age: Origins. I didn't see that coming.

Ok I am getting realy psyched for the game now. They have recently reased all of the 6 possible orgin stories for the game.

I am pretty torn about which origin i am going to play first. Right now i am leaning towards the Dwarf Commoner, or the City Elf. Then probably switch to the Mage for a second play through.

I am interested to see how much of an effect each orgin will have on the overall story.

Also, Tim Curry and Kate Mulgrew (Janeway from Voyager in an RPG, kickass) confirmed for the voice cast =)

I was reading an interview about the Mage class and their spell system looks interesting. Apparently the spells are meant to be used in combination in order to magnify the effects. For example there is a spell that coats the floor in oil (to reduce evasion supposedly), and then you can use a fireball spell ignite the whole room on fire so it can be used sort of like an AOE spell. This reminds me a lot of Bioshock and its plasmid combos. This sounds like a great idea because mage jobs can get so repetitive casting the same spell over and over again throughout the whole game.

Bumping for near release. Reviews are coming in, PC version obviously being the superior choice.

I was so excited for this game. It had so much potential. The videos i have seen of it though are pathetic. It looks like i could run this on my Apple G2. I'm not even going to bother gameflying this.

I will definitly be picking this up, been wanting to ever since I heard of it. Will definitly take up the time before MW2.

Gameplay > Graphics, imo.

It looks good enough to me, and from all accounts the play is excellent.

I got this today and I have to say that I have enjoyed it so far. Controls are a little weird to get used to at first but once you get the hang of it things flow a lot better.

Got this on PC. It still looks good graphically! It runs super smooth, and I love the voice acting. I like it so much, I'm thinking about buying the Wardens Keep.

So I hear this game is like NWN but there's no online option which = fail :( and that the gameplay is basically the same.. dunno if I wanna get it now. Gonna go learn more before I decide to put it high on my list or low

In my opinion, DA:O doesn't really need an online option as it's very rich in content. Perhaps for the (inevitable) sequel, but not for now.

Maybe, it definitely seems possibly great to get into. But sometimes things with so MUCH in it makes me overwhelmed x.x
