Wii Dragon Quest X Officially for the Wii

Yuji Horii has always said new numerical entries in Dragon Quest would be going to the most popular system whether handheld or a console.
PS2 was the most popular for DQVIII, DS was the most popular for DQIX, and the Wii is the most popular for DQX, it's no surprise. You seem to forget DQI-VI were on Nintendo systems, and DQIV-VI are in the process of getting remade for the DS (VI only one not out in Japan yet)

Yuji Horii is the creator of Dragon Quest, where he puts his games has no relevance on where Kingdom Hearts will go, there's already the KH DS title and there's also a KH PSP title, plus the recent PS2 release KH Re: CoM, a remake of the GBA card-based game.
But once again I wouldn't be surprised if they did release one for the Wii with how many of the consoles have sold.

Another Wii title I'm looking forward to, wonder if Level 5 will also handle development duties for this title.

So much for resolving the Wii shortage in Japan.

I just hope this will promote more third party titles [worth buying] on the wii. It definitely has the console sales to back that up.

Personally, I just hope this does get shafted down by all the crap Britain's "Gamers" buy. ¬_¬

I better not see active time combat using the wii mote.

Fun, possibly, my interest in a DQ game, no.

If it's something similar to how Dragon Quest Swords works which is just turn based combat like just swing the wiimote to slash the enemy, I can live with that, as long as it's not active time combat.
Though Dragon Quest doesn't need to use motion control at all, I am fine just using the nunchuck to move and the buttons on the Wiimote for action commands.

Very true. In fact the wiimote alone could probably be enough, like back in the days of the original games on the Famicom and NES. =)

Haha, really eh? I think it was in a Nintendo Power magazine that I read DQ was bigger then FF in Japan (could be wrong) and that DQ has to come out on friday's because people would call in sick from work otherwise just to play it.

The only DQ game I ever played was 8 on PS2 and I didn't love it, but it was enjoyable. I'll be checking out DQX since I have nothing on the horizon for my Wii.

I believe it was Saturday's rather than Friday's.
