I thought DA has diminishing returns compared to Haste?
 
Haste increases exponentially, so its benefits are obvious.
DA does not. Adding a point of DA at no DA whatsoever is a dps increase of 1% (1.01/1.0), but it diminishes as you add more (ex. adding 7DA (full ares) at 5DA base (brutal only) is really only a dps increase of ~6.6%, and it decreases further when you factor in things like being unable to DA any given attack multiple times.

Look at it this way...Someone with 100% DA will DA every attack round. Someone with 100% haste will NOT stop attacking.

But you can't get 100% haste, it hard caps at 80%.

I'm sorry, you do way too much casting. In an even decent merit pt I have time TOPS to fire of one spell per battle. If your brd is even an average puller then there is always a bird at camp and simply not enough time to cast all that junk. You cast all that and by the time you engage the mob it'll already be at below 50% life lol.

Don't waste mp on drain(s) thats what healers are for. Don't bother with Spikes either, if you pull hate that bad that your constantly needing Spikes sub /ninja. I do use Stun and Weaponbash however when I pull hate because there virtually instacast and will buy me 5-10 secs for the mob to die and not be such an mp leech.

Absorb-Spells are meh. 2-3 secs is still an eternity when the mobs you are fight dies in 15 secs and to be honest you will parse better not using them versus the added benefit it gives to a weaponskill. As mentioned 21 STR is not lol 200-400 dmg more.

Yeah I dont sit there and spam drains though but I do use them to set up a full hp SE+WS 2-3 mobs in advance.

As for the 21str comment i'd get about a 200dmg~ increse in WS normal and a lil more when LR and SE are up. I was in a rush for work so I was throwin out a fast number(yeah +400 is exagerated) since I havent played for a few months.

And yes I do have a refresh macro for P.gorget I throw it up when I can as fast as I can thus the "being on top of it"
even spells that I was speakin of earlyer.

Also yeah we got the point I cast more then prolly most all of you but thats how i play my job at the right times. Other wise i'd just be a bandwagon and spam onry abs-tp and say i'm doin my job auto-attackin and switching targets.

If you saw my macro sets it pisses most mages off. And not all brds are leet like you necro =p theres like a good handfull of good pullers on our server.

Having the time to cast 4-6 spells on one mob also means there is something wrong with your party, at this point i think you should be leaving it, but that's just me, I hate to merit and I hate to xp.
