Okay, so i decided that my main jobs gonna be DRK and BLM one melee, and one mage. BUT, more towards DRK. So, now what craft shall i choose? I already have a level 60 cooking craft, and level 16 alchemy, but that's it. I'm gonna have a level 50 THF for farming, so i plan to farm my materials. I did a TON OF RESEARCH, but i just wanna know some other ppls opinons. PLZ dont over look this, just give ur 2 gil :p

( I want a craft that will give me some gil, but more importantly go with my DRK job to help me out )

Um. There really isn't a craft that's going to help you out with DRK. Basically whatever you want to do to make the gilzors, unless you plan to craft your own end-game equipment then I guess you'd want to do Smithing (thick armor set, hauby/hauberk). Good luck getting it high enough though.

I fish and do woodworking personally. Fishing's something I can mindlessly do every morning while I work from home for quick and dirty gil. Woodworking just goes well with fishing and I don't really use it for gil anymore after I've gotten fishing higher up. It's really up to you how to make your gil though.

There's this really great craft called farming.

Basically you do it until you feel the urge to rip out your own eyeballs and eat them.

Then you do it some more.

Then maybe you can buy something nice.

Try fishing, that might help ya - otherwise it's farm farm farm ;(

Raivyn has an underground meth lab that he supports his Dark Knight, Warrior, and Christian Bale with. He knows.... he knows...

His meth lab will never compare to the amount marijuana the tarus grow in the basement of Heaven's Tower. They look stoned when they're sitting down and munch on cookies between fights for a reason.

...blast, they've finally figgured out my secret! to the taru-cave! *batman zoning theme here*

One thing I would suggest. Alchemy. It seems my greatest cost at this point and time is oils/powders. Seems like everytime im on i go through at least 1 stack of each. Its nice being able to make those items at a lower price.

im with BigD. sneak/invis costs sometimes out weighs my food costs.

and its really annoying when i go exp and im the ONLY schmuck that has to use powders cus i cast invis or tonko.

oh and i've gotten this far with out a craft and minimal farmming. you have another option: gardenning.

There's other things to think about too. A lot of the easy gil crafting (without spending several million to get it to veteran level) is through crafting farmed goods.

Leather is good to get to 60 for farming sheep/rams/tigers, and at 60 you can have it for a subskill if you decide to level another craft as your main at a later time.

The same goes for mining and smithing. Get smithing to 60 and you will help out your mining effort greatly.

Other crafts can also be used with farming, just find sellable stackable expendibles that come from mob drops.

Fishing is good money, after you put a whole lot of time and effort into it. You'll have to suffer through making 10-20k/hr skilling up for a very long time before you make real gil, and all that time you could be making a whole lot more farming. If you're willing to put a lot of time into it, fishing is well worth it.
