Hey all,

I was wondering what you played on your ds? I only have a few games myself, and was looking to expand my collection a little bit.

Also, has anyone played the new Advanced Wars game? And does anyone have a ds browser? If so, how did you get it (import?) and how does it work?

Thanks.

Advance Wars DS is a solid title, although the new main character's slang is kinda annoying. Nothing says "This game is going to be horribly dated soon" like a character who constantly refers to someone getting "pwn'd," etc. Plus his CO power sucks compared to Andy's. Nintendo needs to get off their ass and give us a WiFi Connection version of Advance Wars.

Other games in my collection include Resident Evil (a port of the original Playstation game, cheesy dialogue and all), Castlevania, Mario Kart, Lost in Blue and Metroid Prime: Hunters.

Right now the best games I've played on the DS are Castlevania, Advance Wars DS, Phoenix Wright, and New Super Mario Bros. If you already got those games, I've also been a personal fan of Warioware Touched, but I can see how certain people wouldn't like it. You could also try getting Brain Age, I play that on occasion, kinda amusing how Nintendo managed to make math somewhat fun.

I've got New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Hunters, Trauma Center (best. game. ever.), WarioWare, and I recently picked up Resident Evil.

I've been meaning to get Phoenix Wright and Castlevania for a while now, but I think Advanced Wars DS might be first, because I played the hell out of the one for the gba. Anyone know if there is going to be a Fire Emblem for the ds?

Nothing on the videogame sites it seems, just one upcoming for Cube and Wii. I would suggest getting Advance Wars DS if you loved the GBA version. Phoenix Wright is an amazing game also, but Advance Wars has tons of gameplay, IMO better value.

I'm sad to say that I've neglected my poor little DS, but I do still love it.

I only have four games for it:
Nintendogs. Solid little time waster but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you thought the concept was pretty funny like I did.

Mario Kart DS. Buy it. I can't quit playing it. Plus WiFi is pretty fun as is playing with friends.

Pokemon Blue Rescue Team: I'm an avid Pokemon fan, so I picked this up just yesterday. To be frank, it kindof sucks. I still enjoy it though, as would anyone thats a pretty big Pokemon fan.

Edit:
Resident Evil DS. Forgot about this one. I'm a HUGE Resident Evil fan, which is why I got this. Unless you like the series a WHOLE lot, don't even go near this one.

My friends have a million games for theirs and of the ones I've played I'd have to recommend:

New Super Mario (Probably the best game on the DS IMO)
Metroid Prime: Hunters (Funky controls, great game though)
Rocket Slime (super awesome, I'm still thinking about returning Pokemon and getting this instead.)
Phoenix Wright (Quirky Fun ^^)
Lost Magic (Most fun I've had with the Stylis so far)
Kirby Canvas Curse (Lost Magic +1)
Castlevania (Awesome fun if you like the series. Good game even if you don't.)

If I think of more I'll edit ^^

Also. Does anyone just like the larger DS better than the lite? After using my friend's lite for about an hour while my regular one charged, I must say I really like the feel of the older one better. Anyone else feel the same?

I was looking around for info on the DS Browser and I came up with very little:

-There are two separate ones; one for teh DS and one for the Lite. The only difference I can see is cartridge size.

-Japan has it, and apparently Europe is getting it in October.

I looked around but couldn't find a US Release, nor could I find if the JP version has English on it. I'm thinking about importing one, but I'd like to be able to read it, ya know?

I'm really enjoying Pokémon: Blue Rescue Team, it's good. Diamond and Pearl soon, YAY

Most of the notable games have already been listed. /shrug

Oh and hali: Jake's COP may not be as good as Andy's, but his D2D is significantly better.

The Web Browser can not support most flash, but pictures and all that other good stuff works fine. However, on picture heavy sites, it loads slowly unless you turn off the pictures. And, turning off the pictures just makes websites look funky... And, no, the main web site does not have english on it, however, it does support english, and you can go to any english site (for example, I'm posting this on my DS right now.)

As for games, the only thing that has not been said yet is 'Jump! Superstars'. Its a Japanese only title, and its Shonen Jump characters in a Super Smash brothers format. Its really fun!

New Castlevania in less than two months with nintendo wifi connection play oh geez.

I personally prefer Rachel over any other CO for Advance Wars.

She was the first one I maxed rank out on. :( Lots of grinding on Bean Isle.

So would you say its worth it? How slow does it load?

Depends on the site. Normally, it will be about twice as fast as 56k, which is not great, but it is one of the fastest portable web device that does not need a laptop. I think it was worth it, but, some others might not.

I have pokemon blue rescue team too. Its kinda boring after you finish the story which takes maybe 10 hrs. That and the rescue system is the only interactivity, and is irritating besides.

at least theres:
http://dungeon.filb.de/

cant wait for DP.

The title might sound lame, but Cooking Mama is actually pretty fun, and it's only $20 for a new game.
