Hi there,

I recently installed a second flat screen monitor and having some issues running Dual Screen. What happens is there's a 2" black bar on the right side of my second monitor (functioning to the left of my main) and it's essentially a dead area. So if you move say this Firefox window over to the right side of the screen where the black bar is, the second it hits the black bar it appears in my main monitor. It's like it's pretending that that part of my monitor doesn't exist. I've tried using the monitor settings to slide the functioning area over the right and I've tried adjusting my settings but it always goes back to this default when I'm done.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It's not exactly a technically sound fix, but I've had this happen before. for some odd reason the graphics card seems to get hung when changing resolutions and seems to get stuck somewhere in between (thus the black bar). At least, that's what I can gather from my own experiences.

I fixed it by changing resolutions until it went away. If not I'd suggest monkeying with your GFX card drivers, if they aren't made to be used with a dualie setup, that might also cause a problem.

If they're flat panels, set them to their native resolution, and rearrange them in settings. This is a problem that shouldn't be happening if the native resolutions are set.

You can find it on the box.
