Dumbamis.. Laughter, Good Times, and Detachable Apendages

So.. I haven't done a good times post in a loooong time. And for awhile now I've been wanting to do one.. But, unfortunately, I haven't had a damn thing that's been good enough to warrant a post here. But I finally have one.

Many of you may know of a Dynamis shell that once was.. called Encore. My first real taste of amazing players on this server after creating my little mithra 2 years ago. I did Dynamis on Ifrit for 2 years before that, and it never was.. fun. It was like logging in and doing work.. But Encore wasn't. It was the most fun I'd ever had playing FFXI. And for the time I was there.. I met so many of the people who are my friends now.

All good things come to an end.. Encore did. And I was really depressed. I even had to miss the last run because of work. That was not a happy thing for me. After that.. I tried Dynamis with one shell.. and it just wasn't the same. So I tried to convince myself that my Bard hat wasn't THAT important to me, and that I could deal without other things.

Well, Sunday night.. a shell called Dumbamis, led by Rappa, entered Dynamis - Bastok for our first run together. For many of us though, it was NOT our first run together. The people I was so close to in Encore were there, and many others that I wasn't so close to. There were also many many new people. A lot were friends I've made since joining Shakenbake, and Lamebus. For some reason I felt that spark again. The laughter...the jokes. Everything, and EVERYONE was a perfect fit.

On a side note.. This isn't that important in the grand scheme of things, because who cares what you get if you're having a blast with your friends? But I did get the brd af2 hands..I'm 3/5 now! Still need my hat and the pants. But we'll get there..

So, my fellow QCDNers.. I had a GOOD TIME for the first time in a long time...

All right, thats always great to hear. Dynamis is one of those things that if you dont do it with the right people, it becomes a major drag for you. Good luck with the rest of ur relic!

Long live Dumbamis! First time I've enjoyed Dynamis in a pretty long time, especially considering it was Bastok. Hopefully the first of many really enjoyable times in the new shell.

It's a real drag when morale is low, but it's definitely a lot of fun when you find that groove with the right mix of people.
