Does anyone have a picture of what the Dusk armor looks like when you wear it? I'm on PS2 so I don't have model viewer. I was thinking about getting one of the peices but.. if it looks ugly.. well thats just not gonna fly. 8)
 
Here's what my character looks like in the Dusk armor:

FYI: Dusk armor slows you down considerably. Unless you are standing in one spot all day, or macroing it in, i wouldn't reccomend it.

The "Reduces Movement Speed" Seems to be about ~12%. And unfortunately, Strider Boots DO NOT cancel out the effect. The -12% Movement speed takes priority over the +12% movement speed. So even with Stiders, I walk slower than anyone.

It's really obnoxious...
 
i had the body and head once a long long time ago... the body piece didn't look very good on an elvaan... mithra, on the other hand... hawt... anyhow... dunno WHY it has to be purple tho :roll:
 
yes i know that the dusk set slows you down, but of course if i want to move faster, i will take them off... yes, take off my pants. Not like im running around in circles when i'm fighting a mob anyway. I think that -movement is such a small disadvantage compared to the stats that they give.... i think ill go with the pants.
 
is the 12% all the pieces or one piece each?
 
you got the wrong hand parts tho
those are koenig....the model viewer has the koenig and the dusk backward

Doh! Oh well, I'm too lazy atm to fix that so enjoy that pic lol. That is annoning how the veiwer has the two mixed up like that :roll:

It seems to be a flat penalty. If you got one Piece, or 5 pieces, you only get knocked down -12%.

I'm not sure if it's a flat penalty because I have the head and legs and it looks like the reduced movement speed stacks. I equipped both and the decrease in speed is very noticeable versus just one piece equipped. :x

Yup... But Crimson Cuisses boost speed up as well... With 2 dusk and wyrmal legs I'm about at normal speed.

:D I have Crimson Cuisses as well but I just leave that on for travelling and everyday use. I'll macro the Dusk Legs in for the HP + Attack bonus while stationary tanking but thats about it :wink: . Even at normal speed.. it seems like everyone runs faster than me so movement speed up = yes, please! :D

you need to have the game installed for ModelViewer to work. So if his PC doesnt have FFXI, he cant use it
