Hiya folks!

I have a lot of old family movies of Little Miros during christmas and whatnot that el mommo wants to be burned on a DVD instead of VHS. What's a good DVD burning program that's out there? I want to make it look good for her and get her a nice one for christmas!!

Roxio seems to be okay for a standard type that comes with a lot of burners. Or Nero

A good program to just burn or edit the video? What format do you have the current footage in? (You may need to encode it to another format)

Nero has always been my favorite.

Well, there was a nice DVD burner program I had a while back. I have Adobe Premier and I guess download it as whatever is needed. The program I had though constantly sped the avis up. I just wanted a good program that would give me chapters and whatnot.

Windows Movie Maker will do that I think

WMM can do everything related to the video part. But if you have and are familiar with premiere, use that, it's much more flexible without the linear wizard type interface MS offers.

For chapters and subchapters you can use something like via dvd to link videos to another with menus.

Once you create an image, I still prefer burning using nero.

These options are free, if you're willing to pay for something, other options might be open.

I will have to look into that then. Would be nice to not have to purchase a program.

That is fantastic. Do you know if Nero can give me all of the features that I stated in this thread?

Yes, you can rip, edit, burn, do HD, and create new videos.

If you know anything about bit torrent and URL REMOVED you can get these for *cough* free and you won't have to spend the $80-100 it would cost to buy it in the store.

If you want more info about URL REMOVED PM me :)

If you're working on a mac or have availability to use one, DVD Studio Pro is one of the best DVD authoring programs out there. It has pre-made menus for a quick burn, or with a bit of effort you can make elaborate custom DVD menus that streamline with Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.

You won't find a program that will give more of a professional look towards DVDs, too bad it's mac only.
