In the fact I died a total of 3 times from level 19-59, I thought it was kinda funny to die 4 times today.. (2 within 15 seconds... 836 Bomb Toss followed by a Smack to the fact for raising next to one).. I thought of some of my more comical deaths.. as a young rdm I was very good at receiving horribly brutal deaths...

My first memorable death was level 47 Rdm doing my AF1... I was at the PLD unlocking Well when I saw an orc running at me.. I figure meh, what is one orc gonna do? So I draw my sword and commenced owning it.
Then I see literally dozens, at LEAST 40 rush in.. and I am brutally violated in ways not mentionable. It was gory.

My second was level 48, on the road to 50 in Garlaige Basement... pre-MPK patch.. during Serket's Window..
yeah, our WHM goes afk for Dinner, (30min) thats fine since we're a relaxed pt and I main heal like a champ(first time doing it ^.^) as rdm/blm.
She comes back, I say BRB 10 ok? They say okay and all is well.. I come back and half the pt is dead.. like wtf -.-
Then I look up and ... Serket.. first HNM I ever saw... and then I raise the whole pt right? Poisonga XXVII or whatever... death to the world n such.. and I'm a sucker so I spend all my MP curing our Mithran War Nin... causse.. well.. I dont like watching kitties die.. so I watch my life slowly go down and toss my last cure 3.. WHACK a Hellmine gives me its regards cause Ast is a lazy bum and didnt voke it before it ate me (this is before we were friends).

Good times! I also got a hug from Genbu AND Suzaku the first time I did Gods ^.^/ 964 and 786... yummy..

So, anyone else have comical deaths? or at least horribly brutal slaughterings..

the first time i fought maat, i had my stone III macro, except i didn't have /ma "Stone III" <t> in it so i stood there for 20 seconds wondering why. then i lost.

My main is PLD, i've only had 190 deaths and i've been playing this game daily for just over a year now (a year in march)

I hardly see any deaths as PLD... got myself a l337 WHM ^_^

And nope, can't really think of any comical deaths unless you count the actual animation of the death. Was doing promyvions on saturday and during MEA our party was killed, I was the WHM so I ended up leaving the arena to raise them. When the 3 minutes were up, all the characters on after the other let out a really exaggerated death moan and fell on top of each other. Poor little tarus and hume ended up getting squashed by Tonicfly... quite funny to watch XD

Yea.. so i casted Curaga IV on the whm alliance.. we ended up dead.
 
Actually, there were 2 hellmines, I got the one further up in the tunnel. Plus, you been on my FL since you were 32, and I took you up Delkfult. =P
Reason I didnt talk to you was cause I was busy, and injured. ^^

Ah, the memories! =D

Gotta love being a galka always wind up on top of the body pile. I shoulda snagged a screenshot of everying collapsing but i was laughing so hard i couldn't think straight enough to take one.
 
how bout last night i was camping a NM Intulo in Bibiki Bay (lvl 40). So ffxi-somepage says easily killed be a level 60. I'm killing efts cause its a lottery spawn when the guy come rolling up, linking with the eft I'm beating on. Had bout 100 mp left which is not, so I manafront and try to flare him... end up dying. So i HP to jeuno tele-mea choco bck to the spot, buff up and engage... got him down to 1% left of hp and guess what he beat me down again... so not taking the hint i hp/tele/choco again and have the exact same result... Intulo down to 1% and I wipe... ended up losing over 5k exp and a useless 2hr
 
Kind of funny, and definitely a horrible slaughter (to me anyways, cause I've never taken that much dmg in one shot). This was during the level 5 Mamool Ja besieged last night. Was prolly due to waay to much lag/chat filters that I missed what hit me. (Snagged the screenshot after hp'ing)




Oh, and btw, first post ever.

why is a pld dieing 10 times a day? isn't the whole point of a pld is to keep everyone else alive? how you doing that when your dead. I dont know any pld or anyone that days 10times a day except maybe in like dynamis or some endgame shit, but even that isn't every day.

acording to the adventure stats, the lowest probability of survival is none other then your taru blms. out of everyone's 2-4% averages from jobs like nin rdm PLD! whm's, mine and other taru blms is up at around a 8-9% chance of dieing in EACH FIGHT YOUR IN! I'm not exactly a weak bitch either, i took a tail whipe to the face from kirin once AND LIVED!
I've learned to accept death in this game, besides rr3 just means you have to fight 1 or 2 mobs to get it back whopty do lol.

as far as funny deaths go, i think monday's was pretty funny. was fighting faust and all 3 of my characters some how ended up right next to each other dead on the steps :/ don't know how they got there but thats how they all died lol.

my most favorite (to date remember bad memory) escape from death was....

this morning lol. was out doing my normal solo session, when the dhamel started repoping. I had 3 VT dhamle all over my ass, pan had 13hp's left and it was about to hit him again when voke got rdy lol. got them all back asleep and proceeded to rape the whole group. now thats crowd control :p

that ss makes me wish i had one of the 12000ish everyone's rancore i took lol. fucker runs from the tank to me (on blm go figure? lol) does the move and goes back like WTF did i do. i think i keeeled to many tonberries lol

doing Promyvion-Dem we got to the 3rd floor i think and our ls leader Imb got aggroed by this huge hnm it was a stroper ish looking mob we got that thing to about 20percent before we got wiped it was an awesome way to die i tell ya just wish we could solo the nms ass...i know we could have
 
lol had a couple funny serket deaths. Though the funny death would either have to be Angra Mainyu (mega boss in dynamis-beaucedine) casting death on me, or Mamool Ja bluemage type using my own weaponskill Vorpal Blade (was rdm/drk) against me and following it with 1000 needles. Was so shocked about him using vorpal blade i dint even see him start casting 1000 needles

I don't think anything can compare to when I bought a dynamis hourglass and tried seeing how far I could make it with 3 characeters lol. I got one stone down but I fucked up once and after first whipe the amount that kept coming on pulls was to much lol. I think I whiped 6 times before getting kicked lol.


I've been wanting the go back again especially now that I'm 75 lol.

Walking into dynamis with 3 is screaming kill me lol
