So i'm an Uber N00B to Dynamis and i'm looking for some advice please. My first run was last Monday in which we won, but i'm not sure that it was my skills that attributed to it. I'm trying not to bother the Linkshell leaders with my Newbness so let me give a general idea of how we were working it...

We were split into strategical parties: Tanks/Melees to pick off mobs one at a time, Blm/Refreshers to sleep incoming mobs and explode heavy armored mobs, and i think the Whm's were in with the Tank/Melee parties. Overall we had 38-40 people.

I, as a Rdm, was Hasting the Melee, assisting with Sleeping Mobs, Refreshing my Blm Party, and Healing whomever i noticed needed it. Lag made it tough to keep up with everyone but i managed to only die once (which was more than some) but I didn't feel as though i had any specific strategy and was just trying to burn my Mana with whatever i assumed would help out. Can anyone please just give an overview of what a GOOD Rdm's job should be in a Dynamis Party??

depending on the zone you're in and the party you're with, refresh may range from occasional to all the time. if you're in an easy zone and with a melee party that never needs healing, you won't need to worry about refresh so much, but more likely hasting/curing.

in general, if you're subbing blm, try to be ready to use sleepga for any incoming pops. otherwise, spot sleep 2 monsters that wake up while the alliance is busy. also keep your blink/stoneskin up at all times.

if you're in the blm party, follow your blms around, keep them refreshed, and above all keep em alive. unless your blms get to party with a whm (mine don't), it'll be your job to keep them healed. my blms favor good rdms and normally ask me to keep them partied for future dynamis runs.

aside from, and maybe even including those circumstances, probably the most important thing you'll need to do is keep pets silenced. paralyzega, silencga, breakga from beastmaster pets will seriously cripple a full alliance if you don't get to them quickly enough. the more you do dynamis, the more you'll learn to recognize when bst's and their pets are about to spawn, so you should try to get to them before the alliance engages the monster.

for the most part, do the general things (sleeping, silencing, refreshing), and then focus your attention to the type of party you have (hasting/healing if you're in melee party, etc). if you are trying to do too much, you won't be able to do your job.

If your still 68 like your sig says, mostly you should refresh, haste, heal. Don't cast sleepga, as too many will resist.

once your 71+ you will be mostly sleeping everything (or when your resists are low). Then refresh and cure. party.

Having all the rdms doing good job sleeping everything make dynamis easy. Don't weary about refresh TOO much expt for pld or yourself, since theres plenty of MP stones.

Yeah i'm 68 still. I was only using Sleepga when i had Elemental Seal locked and loaded which seemed to work well. So then lemme get this straight... i should worry less about the melee party and stick to my Blm party and sleeping the incoming mobs?

I usualy in a melee party, most of the time with a whm and pld. So I only have 3 refreshs. Let whm cure party. Not been in a rdm and 5 blm party, usualy its a bard refreshing blms. In blm party, you probubly just refresh and watch for stray mobs to sleep/silance.

But still watch HPs of party and cure when you see whm needing help.
