dynamis help..please.

ok after a long decision i decided not to quit the game.. im taking on new jobs and actually liking the change..
anyways, i went in for my very first dynamis (sandy) the other night..after wating hours to get started, i couldnt get in!
1. not knowing how to use the hourglass that was given to me, i "used" the item which made duplicates.
2. someone told me to trade it to the trail markings which i did. NOTHING.
3. i clicked on the marking. NOTHING.
4. i tried trading the duplicates i made. NOTHING.
5. someone tells me go to xarcabard for a cs. i pay for tele and. NO CS.
6. i go back and try. NOTHING.

i was a summoner level 68, and rank 6. my sub was wm.
do i need my sub to be 65 also to get in?

i vaguely remember the cs some peeps told me about in xarcabard, yes i got it a while back.

any other sugggestions as to why i cant get in to dynamis?
anyone else ever have this problem?
i got a cool LS for it and desperately want in.
any help is appreciated.

They didn't have 64 participants did they >_> If you have rank 6, the xarcabard CS and level 65 on a job, pending the last time you did Dynamis, you should be fine to enter =/

Well, he still need to check the CS in one of the main cities in order to enter, and it sounds like that's what he didn't do. Atleast he didn't mention it ^^;

Now, if you DID do that, then I'm confused as to why you couldn't enter =/ because I assume you have Zilart registered and installed XD

Not trying to patronise you here, but have you done the first cut scene yet? You have to zone into xarca band and you'll get a cutscene that follows on from mission 5 (shadow lord) and sets the scene for dynamis.

Thats the only reason I can think of as to why you couldn't enter.

edit: this was happening to some of our members in dynamis xarc earlier. they couldn't get the CS from the trail markings after beating beaucedine. eventually they did and we got started but it was a pain in the ass for a few minutes.

after you get your cutscene in xarc you need to check one of the trial markings in beginner cities for a key item called Vial of shrouded sand.

check whether you have the key item.
if you have it, when you check trial marking, it will say "Bring forward blah blah blah glass"

There isn't a cutscene when you click the markings, only after you throw the hourglass in.

There is actually. Like I said earlier, you have to check it after you get the CS in order to get Vial of Shrouded Sand key item.

You were going with a shell and they gave you an hourglass to go in right?

The duplicate glasses are exactly the same as the original glasses, so these are effectively the same thing. Do you have the key item Vail of Shrowded Sand?

If you zoned into Xarcabard you would have gotten the cutscene if you have Zilart registered and you are rank 6 above level 65.

It is sounding like you may have hit a glitch. If you did exactly everything that you had listed you should have been let in. Like some others have said there is a chance that you were locked out due to number of people. The game limits Dynamis to 64 people in any given run through the original 6 areas.

The last question I have is were you trying to trade a timeless hourglass or a perpetual hourglass to the trail markings?

omg, why is no one listening? The thing he didn't mention doing is checking the trail markings in one of the main cities for the CS that gives you Vial of Shrouded Sand... So unless he did that, there is no glitch.

He did check the trail markings according to that Uzor =(

either way check your key item and see whether you have the sand or not

Sad thing is that first mysticlone, you said that you had any ls team and no one couldn't help you? THAT FUCK UP. Anyways this happen to me earilier with a friend that i got her in and bascally i am saying listen to Uzor. You must check the trail mark again so you can get a CS. Poor Uzor no one is listening to him. /comfort

So ya get that done and you be able to get in.... GL!

If you have the Vial of Shrouded Sand in the Key ITems list, then its a bug. In that case, just call a GM. If you don't have it, then you haven't checked the 2 CS's.

To get acces, you enter Xarcabard as 65+ and Rank 6, return to the main cities to get a CS wit ha ghost that gives you Vial of Shrouded Sand.

There are no more requirements besides that <.<; The only other thing I can possibly think off is that you didn't have Zilart registered or installed, but I assume you do as you're a 68 SMN

thanks for the help guys n gals. im not familiar with the vial of sands.. i just checked my key items and DO NOT have the vial of sands you guys talk of... i will check other trail markings besides the sandy one.. i was told theres one under the bridge in ru lude? anywhere else? hopefully that will provide me a cs.
