If you take a look in the linkshell recruiting forums you'll notice just about every single shell on the server is recruiting dynamis members. Why? Is it that dynamis as been out of 4 years and people just want their relic armor, so they make their own shell to get it faster? Is it because of the 500k hourglass price people now want to just throw the hat in the ring and try it out? Or is it that people are losing interest and the leaders of the shells would rather try to keep their shell intact before merging with another shell?

merging with another shell isn't always the most viable option because of schedule conflicts.

Dynamis is one of the few events in the game where really you can't have TOO many people attending. While granted more members means more competition, it also means a higher chance at a successful, fuller, more rewarding run. The lower entry fee is appealing to some, but the vast majority are more interested in the higher drop rates on the relic armor pieces. The lower entry fee is just a perk. So unless you're maxing out a zone with 60 people every run, is there really any reason not to recruit?

Edit: Forgot to mention, it also has a pretty high turnaround rate. Some less scrupulous people will ditch your shell as soon as they get what they want, which means every if you're recruiting constantly, you'll slowly be losing members too that just ditch after obtaining gear, run into a new rl conflict (don't forget it's 3-4 hours twice a week), or numerous other reasons.

And maybe a few shells here and there think that driving out their old members is a valid policy.
Jabs aside. there is a somewhat high turnover rate in dynamis and there are more DD around than there are mages to keep said DD alive or for crowd control. At the same time you have new players that need relic and sometimes they make their own shell. Since costs aren't split in Dynamis it's also more profitable to get more people inside for faster/easier kills and net more coins which in turn means they can afford more northlands.
Not only that but the coin prices have increased so we have dynamis at half the price with the raw income actually increasing at the same time. Many people recognize a good thing when they see it. Then factor in that several relics are only about 30~40 mil if you simply buy the glass and grab coins. it's not surprising that this is a lucrative situation and the more help you enlist for yourself the better. At the same time the new northlands rates means that some tiers are going to be shorter than others so instead of letting em freelot to lv 1 jobs a ls might think to recruit more people to make the tier competitive.

I think that Dynamis is one of those events that people are looking to get out of once they have the gear they need. When it first started, LSs had 50+ going, now its more likely to be 20-30. We continually recruit to keep sufficient numbers for Xarca, which is where most of the good stuff still is.

Also, because Dynamis is far better understood now, players are fully merited, and drop rates have been increased, its far easier to get a set of gear than it was 3 years ago. Then it could take 2 years, twice a week to get a set of gear, now its probably a tenth of that time. Means people get what they want a lot faster and then move on to other things, meaning a lot more turnover.

I think most of the new shells are set up by people looking for coins though. There usually aren't very long cues for gear now, but with the 500k entrance, there are more people looking to sponsor, and exisiting Shells are going to let the people who have contributed over an extended period sponsor before they let a new recruit.
