I was wondering is anyone else has noticed the trend of Dynamis losing it's steam in general. Getting harder to sell coins at a price to fund runs, getting harder to find LS members.

Thoughts?

Its been out for so long. 5/5 isn't so rare anymore and people are capping out. The same can be said of Limbus.

to be expected? most of the community has 75 X 2 jobs at least right? probrably gave up after or the newer events are more appealing for gear depending on job

If only SE would lower the cost of the Hourglass to fit the ever decreasing Economy.....such a gil drain for the Economy, All Dynamis Shells x2 x1mil = X amount of gil lost that coulda been in the economy where does it keep coming from lol

or make the hourglass one of the possible drops

Dunno about anyone else, but I'm not joining a dynamis LS because they all make me wait like 6 runs before I can lot. I'm not wasting 18 hours on shit that isn't even that good.

Most are less than 6 runs, but why should new members get a chance at relic on the 1st run? Although the 1st Dyn. ls I was in wasn't trial based, it still took 3 months to get anything. Drop rates can be extremely poor and even if you could lot on the 1st run, it would still be a lifetime to get any relic.

The problem is that Dynamis takes up a lot of time. For people that have a busy RL, 3,5 hours 2 times a week is a lot. I can understand if people with a family don't have time to go to Dynamis 2 times a week. Besides, AFv2 isn't as good as it used to be. Only a select few of the pieces actually serves a purpose, such as WHM legs + body, RDM head. And even then, only very situational.

With the release of Salvage, I understand if people want to move on from Dynamis to Salvage, since most people probably don't have time to do both. Let's face it, Salvage is much more enjoyable, and have, to some extent, better drops.

I had 4/5 af2 on my character before it got hacked. I did dynamis every week for like... 1 1/2-2 years or so. I couldn't do that shit again if you paid me.

You're gonna thrive in Endgame...

I love my points-based sky shell. Being able to see my points lets me see where I am, making me able to check my progress.

I just don't like the way Dynamis shells are run. Just my two cents.

soing thread like this make people wanna quit. i was in a slump until i saw that odin video.

soloing is dangerous for the soul.

A lot of dynamis linkshells use point systems, or some other means that reward those with the highest attendance first like tier. Even with a points system though you're going to have to wait a few runs until you have enough points to win the items.

price for glass has been 1mil since they put dynamis in game .. at that time there wasnt much of an economy either people had to pay to get in dynamis

DynamisEpitome uses a point system, and it works great. You show up for the most runs, you get to lot. Points are really only used for the northlands though. In the cities, everyone who has rights to lot(2 consecutive runs without missing)gets to lot on there main job choice.

Had 9 Relic and a 100cc drop in Bastok last night while clearing the zone.

Check us out.

The shell I run with actually has a point-based system for lotting. We do have a 4 run limbo for new recruits but that entire time you are gaining points. Points are based solely on attendance and it works very well. We have some jobs that no one even has as their main right now.

I agree with lowering the damn cost of the Hourglass. They've lowered Cosmo-Clean for Limbus, why the hell not Dynamis? It's ridiculous because pay-to-enter systems get expensive depending on how many people show up. They've modified about anything else, I think they should work on Dynamis now as well.

I love point systems, that way the people that deserve the gear get the gear. Unlike some dynamis shells that let anyone lot after the first few runs. I don't think it's fair for someone who has maybe been in a shell for a year to be outlotted by someone who hasn't even been there a month.

I love the shell I'm in and it usually has 35-45 people in attendance each run. I guess it matters who you run with and the rules they have.

Yeah, apparently Jojojo didn't bother to put any effort into finding out how dynamis shells work aside from just not allowing someone to lot on their first run. The thing is, the exact same restriction works in a point system(0 points = no lotting), so his complaint is rather hypocritical.

Its not so much the price of the glass. When dynamis started, the price was the same and coins were bazaared for about 5k a piece. What really sucks is the amount of shells out there. Quality recruits are hard to find no matter what kind of system you have. Too many good people are spread over too many shells. If there is a trend, its endgame shells doing their own dynamis. Even one bonehead in TheFlock tried it.

I know that if I start getting less than 20 people several times in a month then its time to quit. Trying to keep going when things are barely operable is only hurting other shells and I'm not so sure many realize that. Luckily we have always been in a good enough position to actually take who we want instead of just taking anybody out of desperation.

The other thing (which was mentioned already) is a lot of the gear isn't the same with so many alternatives around now. There's maybe one really good piece per set of AF that can give you something that pieces from anywhere else can't give you.

And yup. Three and a half hours is way too long for a lot of people to keep their focus. Most movies that come out these days are less than two hours. Why? Because the general audience has a very short attention span. I don't think it'd be any different in gaming.
