So I finally decide to leave DRK for the time being to cap RNG after being in a party and seing that i cant impact xp as much as when i am RNG. So i sell everything for drk so i can buy an e-bow. total comes out to 6.8 mil, including other gear for other jobs i wasnt going to do anymore.
Now i go check price again. its no longer 7 mil, its 7.4 mil, i'm a little pissed, i ask my friend for a loan of 700k, i try 7.4 mil, nothing, then 7.5 mil nothing.

FUCK YOU whoever is jacking up the price, i sold all my shit, at or below ah price and this is how i get rewarded. i had the only of some items listed and still didnt jack up anything.
 
I feel your pain...though not even close to the same level of gil..It took me some time to save for sleepga II. It had gone from 250k to 350k and stayed there for some time. Well finally the price came back down to 250k. I had 280k...yay..it was going to be mine!!! There were 3 up for sale...I put in my bid of 250k...no go...hmmm ok...up...up..up I go...someone had jacked the price up again to over 275k (I'm guessing to 300k) I was sooooo pissed...a friend ls mate convinced me to wait a couple of days and I was finally able to pick one up for 260k. Frustrating when you've saved for something that you really want and the prices get jacked like that. I really didn't mind paying 10k more than the last sale...but c'mon 50k?

Kiere, you can quest Sleepga 2. You probably can't do it at the level you need to get the spell but I bet you could get some help with you and you could all get the spell.

Just everyones getting a lot more greedier nowadays, i go by the price history personally, i always put items up at below the average(roughly of course) price in price history. So for example i stick crystals up at 2.3k while there going for 2.5, doesnt seem much but at least it stops the price being jacked up for a little while longer
 
I know a lot of rng's who use xbow's at higher levels, mainly because they can get the obow for free. I'm not saying you have to do that, but it's an option.
 
Yeah, about 90% of rangers use Marksmanship post 67. Othinus's DoT blows Euryto's out the water. Only real advantage Ebow has is the level of use, and even then, a Gun can still keep up with Ebow's numbers.

Ebow is defintely overated.

I mained gun 60-67, and I blew ebow out of the water the 3 times i partied with a rng with one. Gun really is the best from 50-67

Obow is a great weapon at67, and its what I have used 67-72. Once again, it has great dot, and i have outdamaged the ebow rngs i have partied with. I have only partied with 1 gun rng (post 70 for hellfire) and that was today for about 1 hour. It is agreed by all rngs that it is hella slow, so Im pretty sure Obow has better dot
 
everyone blows everyone out of the water with the weapon they have. i've pt'd with it once already and notice a big difference in damage over war bow+1. this bow is the last i will need (i think) so i dont think it can be that overrated. its like people saying that snipers are overrated. you can say overpriced i will agree, but their functionality can not be denied. there are time when you need a bow, might as well have the best...if you can afford it.
 
Othinus bow is the best bow in Exp PT hands down. I've seen so many Parser results where Othinus deals more damage by a Noticeable amount. You won't need to use much after 70, because Gun will help you pace your shots for Dynamis, HNM's, and Gods and Obow will let you go crazy on PT. I'm not saying Ebow is useless, but at 67, don't be surprised if you find yourself selling back your Ebow...
 
i just dinged 63, cant use o bow yet, i plan on camping that soon. i'm very new to ranger(only been at it about a month and a half) so i dont know every piece of gear i need, i know this is the best bow at my lvl, and for archery, from what i have hear, this bow is end game. i use both marksmanship and archery in xp parties i like them both alot. i havent gotten used to guns yet (figuring out how much money i shoot away for every miss is fun to calculate) but i expect when the mobs get harder, and they need to drop fast i'll use them more often.

kind of funny i was pissed about price gauging and get a tutorial on my new job, thank you. :)


PS if you never saw my drk fully loaded you would understand why i want this bow. I always wanted to enter an xp party being the best at my job, and keeping pace and beating some thf's in tp showed me that i had accomplished that. watching 2 drks i xp'd with today proved to me that i was a better drk than them and it put a smile on my face. alot of it is the gear i wore since i dont actually control my scythe. i've been making cannon parties and watching other rng's and enjoy seeing the kind of damage we are doing, watching when they use certain skills(since they have probably been playing the job longer than me) and learning.
when you leave my party i want you to say he is one of the best <job> i ever played with. (except tanking, i somehow lost the nack for it with all those lvl's of dd)

Well, if youve seen my gear, im far from gimp.. i could sell allmy shit and just have normal NQ gear, but have an Ebow, but its not worth it

Im telling you, gun is better then Ebow.... im not making this shit up, im levleing ranger.

And when you say Ebow does more damage then warbow+1.. well umm. duh? Of course, and it is a very good bow to have , one of the best. However, Ive seen numerous parse results where Shigeto bow has outdamaged Ebow... But, Ebow is the ultimate end game Bow, so your set in that department. But imo, im justlettin ya know its not worth it. After spanking an Ebow rng , outdamaging by 24-30 damage plus holy effect, i realized ebow is not worth it. But when the time comes to cap archery, i guess its ok

also, i'd like to add this

Im assuming that all you have for your rng is an ebow and some normaly equip. (im saying this cuz you said you sold -everything- forit) well imo i woudl sell the ebow and buy your self a bunch of HQ equip

I wouldn't level past 55 without an Ebow, had it for a week and sold it, actually you can thank me for the price jack. I think I raised it about 2 million if I'm not mistaken? I have had and used an Ebow, and MG +1 owns the living hell out of it bro. You will be severely dissapointed but do what ya gotta do... :P
 
E Bow is garbage in comparison to many cheaper alternatives... honestly not worth the price tag.

Just FYI.
