It'll be so sad when people who have absolutely no gil, get a rare/expensive NM drop, but then aren't able to sell it in the AH cuz of the fee associated with it....
 
Glad I broke out the pumkin head and the trusty sublgar to get rid of almost everything this week ^^
 
Isn't the AH fee though based on how much you are trying to charge? This will encourage lower pricing and more worries of not having your item selling.
 
its a percentage

Jeuno auction houses:
Single item fee = 2% of the seller's asking price +100 gil.
Stacked item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +400 gil.

Other auction houses:
Single item fee = 1% of the seller's asking price +1 gil.
Stacked item fee = 0.5% of the seller's asking price +4 gil.


so an item you plan to sell for 4M in the AH will cost 80100 gil to put up.... and yes it does go by how much you put it in as.............

kinda sucks... i used to use the AH as a temp storage space..... drop items in for 99999999 gil then come get them later

this is gonna hurt......

Holy crap.. I may never use the AH again if this really is what they are doing. That's utter garbage.. and to think I didn't like putting stuff up at Jueno already.. ugh..

Uh.. hello, SE.. we put up things in the AH to sell things and make money.. not have it cost us an arm and a leg. I have to say this is definately the worst change EVAR!

That's it..

I think our Auction House forum just got a whole lot more useful. ^^
 
The fun thing is no matter what the cost, if it takes you 50 auction postings to sell something, you dont even break even..... you lost 5k^^
 
I think the least SE could do was give us some more slots on the AH to sell stuff with this new tax.

If Im putting up something for 150k to sell you better believe it's staying up there until it sells for that price no matter how long it takes. Which fucks me out of one of my whopping 7 slots for a good while. Obviously in the past you could go with the flow and take down your items here and there to adjust the price to what the public wants to pay, now you can't so you had better get that price right the first time lol...
 
Heh, I just thought of it like this....

Now you have to farm to sell the shit you have farmed.
