Anyone know if there is a way to set it up so it isnt reset by using other macros?

Unfortunately, as I understand it, any macro with multiple lines will stop/interrupt when you initiate another macro.

This does not occur with windower macros.

If you use windower macros, they will not be overwritten by hitting other macros, since it's already sent all of the commands to the game.

Make a /recast macro?

That's how I solved that problem.
Ctrl+7 =
/recast Provoke
/recast "Utsusemi: Ni"
/recast "Utsusemi: Ichi"
On nin pallet.

I actually have 3 recast macros on PLD, since there's alot more stuff to keep track of there, and I dont like having more than 3 recasts in 1 macro since text will just fly by :P

If you're to lazy to make windower macros... like me :)

Edit...
Might not work though if there's to much stuff you wanna keep track of.

When using Windower Macros, any pauses and waits will completely stop all other scripts and aliases from acting. It will also build up a buffer of commands, so spamming a script with waits in will make a huge back log of commands, and can sometimes make the game inoperable.

You're in a sort of all or nothing situation.

However, if you only have one wait in a windower macro, and then use FFXI macros for everything else, you can make it work in your favour. However, you'll probably decide to go 100% Windower when you realise that they're pretty good. Lol.

If you're that into windower though, just go with the Recast plugin they have. It's amazing. Puts the recast of all abilities with timers in a nice tidy list in the top left side of your screen (location can be adjusted via the config file that comes with it).

wanna hook a brother up with a link to the most updated version of said plug-in? I had one windower recast plug-in, (which i got off the windower website if i remember correctly) but it always crashed PoL on start-up, so i got a stand-alone recast program, that crashed upon FFXI start-up. Maybe its just my bad luck or something, or really old versions, i'm not certain.

There should be an updated plugin on the windower forums.

I can understand where Gene is coming from, with some abilities and spells; we like to know exactly when we can use them again. Like for instance, Refresh, Haste, or a little more specifically when a spell like Bio wears off.

Is it possible to know exactly how long Bio lasts? This could be important for those RDMs who solo and need to by DOT.

Having an echo would be great for Bio/Poison...Or whichever ability/spell you're planning to use, Gene.

The windower plugin seems like the only thing to use, to be that automatic without cancelling the echo.

However, if the echo is used for something as simple as /recast...You really shouldn't need to use windower plugins for that.

It's nice to know people actually use that mass in the skull between the ears.

I also use recast macros. A little differently though.

/ja abilities are listed for my main recast, displayed below:

Recast
/recast "Sharpshot"
/recast "Barrage"
/recast "Berserk"
/recast "Warcry"
/recast "Flashy Shot"

/nin "Utsusemi" are listed in the actual casting macro, displayed below:

Ichi
/equip head "Walahalalala Turban"
/equip body "Rap harness"
/nin "Utsusemi: Ichi" <me>
/recast "Utsusemi: Ichi"
